  1. Steve Kimock reminds me of a blend of Pat Metheny and Jerry Garcia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ45hPZ_2kU
  2. Good timing. I've been working on the improv section of Midnight Blue for about a week. KB is my favorite guitarist right now.
  3. If it makes you feel any better, the saddles on my Memphis 335 are also notched off center, and so were the first two I rejected (not for that reason). I would not consider that a flaw. If the strings are centered and spaced correctly and the guitar will intonate properly, then what's the problem?
  4. I'm waiting for Gibson to invent machinery that automatically adjusts intonation.
  5. Just put these three CDs in my car: Subject to Change without Notice, Jimmy Herring Unstoppable Momentum, Joe Satriani Kenny Burrell and John Coltrane
  6. Yo d00d! Did I just see you on the Jazz Guitar board. Good to see a fellow jazzer here.

  7. Yeah, Arlen Roth has done some great lessons. I remember watching his lessons on playing blues and doing vibrato on VHS tapes twenty years ago.
  8. The Cipher- Guitar fretboard intervals The Cipher IMO, this is the best source for learning the fretboard. For learning theory and jazz guitar: Matt Warnock Guitar Lessons
  9. What can I say. I'm a child of the seventies. Without trying to sound bromantic, I've enjoyed your posts, too, quapman.

  11. Good to see a fellow Tar Heel.

  12. Hunter Thompson and "A Clockwork Orange" references... hello me brother...

  14. Your reputation precedes you.

  15. Saw and heard a guy playing a Tennessean about a year ago and I was GASsing hard for one. Fortunately, I passed GAS for it. I'd still like to have one, but that is way down the road if it ever happens.
  16. Kentucky Moonshine- Pure Prairie League
  17. Good Morning Little School Girl- Sonny Boy Williamson
  18. Very true. That's why my guitars rarely make it outside of my practice room. But, I'm not totally unhappy with my playing. To those who don't play, I'm great!
