  1. Your relatives come over to do a pre-Estate settlement dry run right in front of you.
  2. George Harrison's catalog is coming back into print. I'm missing two titles so will be getting those when they're available. https://www.noise11.com/news/bmg-to-reissue-george-harrison-catalogue-starting-8-september-2023-20230823?fbclid=IwAR1BVUKrZmiUsLB9hoIFuYrkd5ufNe63QBq5O6HmS0vMR8r7LOqFiriLnwE
  3. The Beato guitars look like around $1300 guitars to me. No real fancy parts, thinner than usual slab body but it does have neck binding. I'm sure Gibson knows their market, though.
  4. Gibson has the cream colored ones in stock. You can always buy black covers if need be.
  5. Electrical tape and a mohawk. Shake shake shake. I think she blew up an old Cadillac as part of the show. This show must have been sometime after the cops beat her up. The only two things that really stood out was the guy unplugging himself and not realizing it (that was great) and then she gave a little talk which ended with, "A pig is a pig and that's that!" and then she went back to running around the stage shaking her boobs and then her butt. She was entertaining, I miss Wendy O.
  6. I just remembered, I saw another punk band, Blonde Redhead. I don't know if they were good or bad, they had the sound system cranked up so loud it was just deafening. They started playing and it was a wave of people running backwards. I do recall looking over at the stage and seeing the guitarist fall onto his back and one of his legs shooting up in the air. WTH? I also saw the Plasmatics at the Pier in NYC. Wendy O. was really entertaining, the musical highlight was when this giant black guy with a mohawk stepped on his guitar cord, unplugged his Flying V and didn't realize it so he kept going for about a minute with his guitar unplugged. Does Siouxsie and the Banshees count? There's a cold fish for you.
  7. Not too much babbling the times I saw her. They must have been good nights for the band, they really got the crowd going. Rock And Roll Ni**er was great, they were on fire doing that one. They're still going but I know touring is getting old. Last I heard they were on a European tour and the trains were shut down so they had to take a taxi from one country to another which really sucked. Everybody, pile in this little car with your guitars and crap.
  8. I owned a Zebrawood Classic from 2007, it was a nice guitar. I wish I still had it. There will be a market for it, probably $2000-2250 if it's in good shape. It would depend on which variant. https://reverb.com/marketplace?query=gibson les paul classic antique
  9. I saw Nina Hagen once (she was horrible) and Patti Smith numerous times. I don't know if Patti counts although they got their start at CBGBs like so many others.
  10. It's better with the volume off.
  11. That was one of those "what the hell has happened to me?" moments. Old age, I'm afraid.
  12. You get up to take a leak before you begin your busy day and as you're standing at the toilet your knee pops and you start farting. Aiming, farting and laughing all at the same time takes concentration. And this is before my morning coffee!
  13. True. I'd go for a Firebird III to round out the collection. I can't think of anything else that I'd really like to have. Maybe an ES-Les Paul with a Bigsby.
  14. I don't know the laws in your state but try some medical marijuana cream, go for the strongest you can get. I crunched my foot when a Triumph landed on me and was hobbling around. My wife suggested medical marijuana so I finally rubbed a little bit on the area and I'll be damned, I could walk again. I tried it the next day (even though I was better) and it just made the area burn. You can get it with or without THC, it's like Ben Gay but it actually does something. Worth a shot.
  15. I forgot to add Firebirds without that fake Murphy Lab junk. If I'm buying a new guitar I want it to look like a new guitar, not fake used to fuel my imaginary rock star, road dog stories.
  16. The Firebird series with banjo tuners and the original headstock. I'd especially like to see the Firebird III. I will not hold my breath.
  17. Maui, wtf? Greece has been on fire for quite some time.
  18. I haven't been to the office since March of 2020. I plan on keeping it that way, you know how work is: good ones, ones that don't leave an impression, back stabbing rodents, there's all sorts. I like most of the motorcycle guys from there, at least we have that in common. It's a mistake to get involved with the women there as they seem to be demented.
  19. Good news, kids, we're having Bats-A-Roni!!! https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-08-01/indonesia-wet-market-bans-dog-meat-but-bat-trade-poses-risk/102659758
  20. There are few things more "I" word than a plate-less Les Paul. Even better than removing the pick up covers and that's really saying something.
  21. Ordered some stuff from some old favorites I haven't heard before: Chris Spedding - Just Plug Him In Roxy Music - Concerto
  22. Banned if you do, banned if you don't. Maybe he'll come back and finish up this guitar saga.
  23. The big draw for me was the boa constrictor on the cover. 50 years later, I STILL have boa constrictors. Some things never change.
  24. I had Killer back in Jr. High School, I must have driven crazy listening to that album OVER and OVER and OVER again!
