  1. It smells good, is it ready yet?
  2. That's pretty cool. How would you mount the Bigsby? Probably have to operate it with your chin...
  3. When you discover that around half of the Zap Comix artists have passed away.
  4. I put three guitars up for sale, sold one in an easy transaction. On another one I've been getting a lot of lowball offers and the last lowballer invited himself over to my house. That's what the delete button is for, I believe.
  5. That's a big one, it would have flattened that house and anyone in there.
  6. When you have to use Google to help you figure out how old you are.
  7. It was massive. I'm so glad I got it down before it killed someone - it was hanging over the street, the neighbor's yard and my house.
  8. Some sort of oak tree, maybe red oak? The oak trees in this area are all dying off, there's a whole variety of causes: https://extension.umd.edu/resource/why-oak-trees-are-declining-or-dying
  9. Or maybe just firewood. My house, earlier today:
  10. We wouldn't be here without you. Thank you.
  11. The bottom photo in the first post looks like they painted over some excess glue. Probably not even Hot Hide Glue, too.
  12. Barabajagal does have that Jeff Beck Group feel to it, no wonder I like that song.
  13. The Custom Shop models do have a different feel to them. It's hard to put into words but they are a step up from the regular models. Then there's the pre-beat up ones which appeal to a different crowd of people. To answer your other question, the normal line-up usually went Jr. to Special to Standard to Custom with each model getting fancier as it went up the line (pick ups, binding, fret board material).
  14. My SG Classic had a neck like a classical guitar, it was just bizarre. Maybe go for a 61 Reissue and stick in the humbucker sized P90s that Gibson makes?
  15. https://www.premierguitar.com/gear/a-modern-history-of-the-gibson-custom-shop To use a motorcycle analogy, regular Harleys are built on the shop floor, the Screaming Chicken models are built on the second floor, two senior employees assemble the bike instead of it going down the production line to be slapped together by 50 different people.
  16. How long was his set? I saw him years ago and it was 60 minutes, encore, bye.
  17. It took me by surprise. That's what football is for, take a power nap on the couch.
  18. PJ Harvey B Sides, Demos and Rarities 6 album box set, a little bit of everything on there
  19. https://www.gibson.com/en-US/GibsonTV/gibsons-guide-to-guitar-setup-and-maintenance/how-to-adjust-the-height-of-your-guitar-pickups
  20. I married my first wife in North Carolina. We're filling out the paperwork and I said to the clerk, "Does it matter if we're first cousins?" The look on her face still makes me laugh.
  21. And old Stetson hats and Red Wing boots and vintage McIntosh audio gear and British motorcycles and you name it.
  22. Oh, jeez, I have a bunch of his albums with Link Wray on them.
