  1. Alex the do-gooder? That's a new one. I'll have to pick up a copy of a newer version with the 21st chapter. Does he become a TV evangelist?
  2. Oh, well. My copy is from back in the 70s. I was so pissed, I struggled through the entire book and there was the Glossary just sitting there to mock me.
  3. There's a glossary in the very back of the book. How's that for a kick in the yarbles? I read the book in college and was told that Anthony Burgess' wife was gang raped when she went out for groceries one night, that's why the book is so powerful, he wrote it when he was helping her convalesce. The original version of the movie was pretty graphic, especially the gang rape and Ludovico treatment scenes.
  4. On second thought, viewing this on Youtube will be enough. Maybe Robert Fripp's latest venture somehow influenced him.
  5. It sounds like the Classic, then. They're nice guitars with really fast necks. No matter what shape the model is they made a ton of variations to them: carved top, slab top, P90s, humbuckers, one knob, four knobs, you get the idea.
  6. Should have worded it featuring their smash hit.
  7. There have been reviews so I guess it's out, Amazon is showing a September release for the album, it's out on CD right now. Collaborating with Johnny Depp (?) on the smash hit Funky Smell (Comin' From My Bed). I'm hoping it's a good one.
  8. I know it's not on your list but of your picks I'd look at a 2019 or later Les Paul Standard. I have a Classic and an older single cutaway Special, the Standard is real step up the ladder.
  9. I listened to a couple of new (to me) Robert Fripp/King Crimson albums last night. Vroom CD: seems to be out takes from Thrak, meh. Bewitched with Andy Summers: some really interesting stuff on it but I don't think I'll listen to it very often. Has that 80s drum sound to it as well. Let The Power Fall: Fripptronics stuff which doesn't ever actually go anywhere. It's like he needed Brian Eno to push him in a direction with the material as in there's your background music, now you play the solo over it.
  10. Banned if you do, banned if you don't. What the hell?
  11. We dodged a bullet!!! “It will be telling the story of the ‘Sunday Lunch’ while also rocking out on the classic hits,” Fripp says. “I’m getting the opportunity to play lots of great rock riffs I was never able to play in King Crimson.” But thanks to the high cost of touring and work visas, the tour will be limited to the U.K.
  12. A new one showed up, What's In A Word? It looks to be pretty entertaining.
  13. I just finished The Soul Of An Octopus by Sy Montgomery (very good) and am halfway though Mr. Putin by Fiona Hill (much like reading a college textbook,, well written but kind of dry so far). After that comes Pythons Of The World Vol. 4 by Dave and Tracy Barker.

  15. I have a 2007 Satin which was kind of dull sounding (acoustically) until I buffed out the finish, then it came alive. Granted, that's an older one with no neck binding but I did have to spend some time getting the frets rounded off properly and the routing for the neck pick up had a lot of chipping. I have a later figured model which is very nice, you can tell they put more care into it.
  16. Congratulations in advance, they tell me the trick is to stay busy with your interests. Don't you have like 300 Ovations or something? You could restring one per day for starters.
  17. The second booster really didn't bother me all that much, maybe you'll have similar results. I'm like everybody else, who the hell knows anymore.
  18. I haven't been keeping up but last I read they were working on a booster for the latest diabolical variant which appears to have done at least a partial end around on everything. After a while you just throw your hands up and say whatever. I did get all 4 shots, though. The worst that could happen is I'll feel a little beat up and buy an Eric Clapton album.
  19. Those were the days, every new car's ash tray came filled with peyote buttons. Don't forget to roll down the window before you vomit.
  20. Luck of the draw but the last cup, I swear, must have been XXXXL ones. Gulp it down and get it over with, back to bed.
  21. While I think of it, a Sri Lankan audiophile recommended this tea for helping with COVID symptoms. I had to use it both times I contracted it and it does seem to help: Samahan Herbal Supplement https://www.amazon.com/Samahan-Ayurvedic-Herbal-Packets-Lankan/dp/B017VR4122 It's probably pond water and pepper strained through a pair of used panty hose.
  22. Please stop confusing us with the facts. Get better, NighthawkChris, you've still got that ES-335 to buy.
  23. I hope they continue with the vinyl remasters, they've still got a ways to go to finish the set.
  24. Feliz Navidad, everybody! Wait, wrong one but you get the idea. As always, have a good time and stay safe.
  25. Wow! That's a lot of exposing yourself. I'll just stick with the vinyl releases, I don't know if I could stand 32 CDs of it.
