  1. I can see why that's your Go To guitar.
  2. Common forum expression to encourage someone to post a photo.
  3. Pics of your guitars that pretty much look like everyone else's or it didn't happen!
  4. Muy bueno! You never did take my advice and put a Bigsby on that D-18, did you? No wonder you sold it.
  5. I'd never heard of her. Maybe they're both just nuts.
  6. Last night I listened to Red and Lark's Tongue In Aspic and was thinking about these humiliating videos he's recently been putting out. Given his age, I wonder if he doesn't have a form of dementia. If you look at the end of that weird Xmas video it's Toyah Willcox Ltd so I'm thinking Granny Golddigger is still on the ball and he isn't quite all there any more.
  7. Maybe an asteroid will land on them and put an end to it.
  8. I guess I'm just old and set in my ways. After 10 minutes with a Les Paul it was back to the Firebird VII. This feels familiar.
  9. You'd have to be more specific with your speakers but it sound like they need to be pulled out from the wall a bit.
  10. In a perfect world that 00-28 would come with a free hooker and her own toot. And then I woke up.
  11. Which one did you sell and are you replacing it with something else or the usual coke and hookers binge?
  12. Believe it or not, they actually recreated the neck break and charged a premium for it: https://www.themusiczoo.com/products/used-gibson-custom-shop-johnny-winter-firebird-electric-guitar-vintage-sunburst
  13. I'll go out on a limb and say same stuff, higher prices.
  14. What's there to think about? Go get jdgm's 175 and then look for a 335 and call it a day.
  15. I'd have to check around some in my books but it looks like it was Stan Rendell who shut down production for a bit until Gibson got some kilns up and running. I thought it was Ted McCarty. The checking was caused by painting over wood with the moisture content too high. I've been lucky, I've had Gibsons since 1974 and only that one bit of checking on a Lucille which I caused.
  16. Have any of the remaining Mop Tops weighed in on this new release?
  17. Mine is a 2019, weighs about 5000 pounds and no checking so far. If these guitars are just checking sitting there my best guess is they weren't dried out properly in the kiln.
  18. Uh oh... I'm going to have to dig mine out and see if this isn't a factory f-up across the board.
  19. I would see how that 175 fits you and if the body is too big then go for a 335/45/55.
