  1. That must have been so weird having Yoko plunked down there. At least she wasn't screaming along to the music.
  2. Wipe the dust off of the pick guard covers and trying polishing the covers with WD40 on a cotton cloth, you only need a little WD.
  3. It looks like he disappeared quite some time ago but I wouldn't have kept it. I only have a slight bit of checking on any of my guitars and it's because I couldn't wait another 12 hours to open up the case for a peek. As soon as I saw the condensation I slammed the case shut but a little bit had already started.
  4. Beat and Discipline are great, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thrak was too much like the Vroom sessions stuff, lot of noise.
  5. My $3.19 copy of Thrak showed up last night and I like it. Shades of Red and Larks Tongue In Aspic written in an abandoned, underground subway station and performed for The Mole People. Maybe that's where Fripp met his wife.
  6. While I think of it, you used to be able to sell up to $20,000 or 200 transactions per year using PayPal and not have to worry about it. Starting next year, the limit drops to $600 per transaction. You either have to prove that you sold it at a loss or any profit is taxable. For the buyers, expect prices to rise accordingly. There's a lot to be said for cash transactions.
  7. I think you'd need the pick up rings, too. Those little lugs look like they'd break if you looked at them wrong, that's probably why they dropped it.
  8. I met a fellow in a GC parking lot and sold him a guitar, lots of people will meet up at a grocery store parking lot or similar.
  9. They really should have kept that snap-in pickguard feature, that was a really clever idea but nope!
  10. Can't exactly fill the holes and make it undetectable but I'd prefer pick guard on due to my playing style. To each their own.
  11. I think he meant the book ends. You might want to put down some rat bait, they're gnawing that yellow one on the left away to nothing.
  12. Another empty box special, that was just weird. Could you take a look around and see if you have the CDs sitting there?
  13. I have a big boxed CD set of theirs. Now that I have CD players I like I should see what's on them. I felt bad the guy I bought that set from, it showed up with 4 empty jewel cases. The artwork was there, the discs were missing so he had to get me another set.
  14. Thanks, I ordered Thrak on CD, the vinyl album is $80 so they can keep that one. He did some really good work with Eno a long time ago, Baby's On Fire is just spectacular.
  15. and his dignity he used to be quite the pioneer with his Fripptronics. I knew that he used to demo his latest guitar gadets on the captive audience at a local laudrymat (!) but what I didn't know was that Bryan Ferry audtioned for King Crimson but didn't make the cut. That would have been an interesting pairing. King Crimson didn't release a whole heck of a lot of studio albums. Is anyone here familiar with the work after Three Of A Perfect Pair?
  16. That SG really stands out, doesn't it? Just beautiful.
  17. http://legacy.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2019/USA/Les-Paul-Traditional-2019.aspx According to the above, it comes with a pickguard (not mounted) so somebody mounted it on there.
  18. I sold my Firebird VII and was kicking myself over it for years but you guys already know that one.
  19. They pay you $50 to brave the store so when the fat lady in the pink stretch pants sneezes on you it'll help with your bill from the ER.
  20. I always liked the animated vomiting smiley face one. Aside from a Like one the rest just seem kind of childish.
  21. Somebody's slacking so I'll give Sgt. Pepper a sad face whatever they hell they are until Mr. X rolls out of bed. I'd give myself one, too, but it won't let me.
  22. You don't want to rush these thing, you know.
