You didn't ask for it but you're getting it, anyway.

Doing worser, 2 Ben Wade tobacco pipes from Denmark.
Also looking at another motorcycle from England.
Gotta make sure Santa gets what I want.

No and no.

From that photo, it looks kind of beat up.
Those are hot pick ups, that's a guitar for metal.

The secret is in the Tone Gouges.
Many tailor their sound by scuffing the back with roofing shingles. I think going in a clockwise motion sounds best, the counter clockwise motion tends to make the sound too brittle.

My mail order Black Friday purchase showed up: 300 lighter flints in a little glass bottle, sent all the way from China!
My in store purchase was a can of Zippo fluid, the gas station was out of flints so Amazon, take my pennies and make me happy.

You should see them when they try to board the plane to Cancun when their crappy power grid goes down.

Go ahead and....
pull my finger.
If you hear this one, don't do it.

Shoot, I can bonk my guitars with an old rail road spike for free.
Throw an old bunch of keys at it for the finishing touch, hit it with a heat gun and stick it in the freezer next to the old bacon I need to throw out.

I'm smoking a 15 pounder on the Traeger with mesquite.
That's got to be hard to keep lit.
Happy Thanksgiving and today is the day to count our blessings.
Back to the yard work but at least I have a yard, how many people don't?
Even so, stupid leaves...

But I bet in my lifetime I will see both Gibson and Martin's daily production move to China, leaving only a 'custom shop' of sorts in the US.
I can't see that happening, their sales would tank.
Buck Knives moved part of their production to China, people threw a fit and only have the cheapies made off-shore these days. Gibson already has Epiphone, Martin has their Made In Mexico beaters.

This golf bag thing is okay.
I still think it was cheap of them to provide this instead of a hard shell case with an SG Standard.

Thanks for posting that, that was really good.

I just looked at the SG in TV Yellow, it's a translucent paint, not a solid color.
No, thank you.

I don't think a gun is a suitable present unless it's a BB gun for putting each other's eyes out around the Christmas tree.
Stetson makes a wide variety of hats and Red Wing Heritage boots are really good. Vanson and Fox Creek make real good motorcycle leathers, JRC Gloves would be appreciated by anybody.
There are still lots of domestic audio companies for those who like stereo gear.
For less expensive items, Zippo makes all sorts of lighters and there are plenty of American artists releasing music.
So far, my shopping has consisted of bottles of Louis Jadot wine from France rung up by a gen-u-wine 'Merican clerk.

Now we just need the barfing smiley face and I think this place will be covered.

What part?

You remember when Gibson made a range of arch top guitars with a body depth deeper than an ES-335.

When Dolly Parton releases an album with that old Skynyrd song, Free Bird, on it.

I was asked what I thought about Hackney Diamonds.
I liked the slower songs a lot, they reminded me of Sticky Fingers.
The straight ahead rockers were World's Greatest Garage Band stuff, I was expecting more from Paul McCartney but I guess the song is what it is, just have fun and bang along to it.
The album ended on the perfect song for them and I assume that's the close out of their studio albums.
If so, it was a good send off and was much better than I was expecting.

When you realize it's been at least 15 years since you last changed the lawn mower's spark plug.
They just don't make things like they used to, by crackey!
No "Import" Christmas
in The Gibson Lounge
Posted
If all goes well, my Christmas present will be a rolling chassis with a rebuilt motor in it and numerous boxes of bits.
This is what the finished product will look like but heck, it'll be assembled right here in the good old U S of A by a real, live tax paying American. That would be me.
