  1. The serial number refers in our database to a 1963 ES-335 block reissue, 50th anniversary, VOS, in historic burst, with nickel hardware, from 2013, made by the Memphis division.
  2. Hi, You would first need to click on "reply" to a post and then on "click to attach files". Kind regards, Stijn

  3. Hi, I just placed a message. Kind regards, stijn

  4. Hi George, Unfortunately we don't have any wiring schematics available for the S-800. Sorry for that ! Kind regards, Stijn

  5. The guitar looks original to me. The serial number is registered here also as an Epiphone Chet Atkins CEC in antique natural, with gold hardware, but as a factory second (meaning with a small blemish, but technically in order), from 1996, made by the Epiphone division. You can find the specifications in the attached file and although they are from 1998, they should be the same. Kind regards, Stijn
  6. Hi, The serial number does not really fit into the normal serial number configuration. The very first Chet Atkins Ce models came with a different serial number (one letter and 3 digits), but this one is strange. If you would like me to identify the guitar, please send me or post the following pictures: * Photos of the instrument in JPG format as an attachment (please limit to 2MB total size for all pictures together, as a bigger total size may not reach us) – full front, full back, as well as close ups of the front and back of the headstock, with the serial number clearly visible. Also of any inside label that the instrument may have. I can only give you information on how/if the serial number is registered here together with the above mentioned pictures of the instrument, for security reasons, but then I can also send you more information about the specifications of the instrument. Kind regards, Stijn Vergeest Gibson Europe Customer Service 00800-4GIBSON1 00800-44427661 www.gibson.com

  8. Hi John, I just sent you an email with the necessary info. Kind regards, Stijn

  9. Sure we do ! The best would be to send me pictures of the guitar, through service.europe@gibson.com Did you try this email address and you received no error message ? Kind regards, Stijn

  14. Hi Geoff, Unfortunately we don't have any schematic for the S800. Maybe I can send you another schematic, but I'm not sure if that would help. A good luthier might be able to help though. Don't hesitate to write me an email, to service.europe@gibson.com Thanks, Stijn

  16. Hi, The amount of guitars made of this model is considered as confidential information, but you can find the specs here: This stunning Blonde Beauty guitar features a AAA flame maple top in a natural finish that lets you see the beauty of the wood, and an exotic 3-piece flame maple neck. It has all the great sound and features of the Les Paul Standard, like BurstBucker Pro pickups, a tune-o-matic bridge, trapezoid inlaid rosewood fretboard and single-ply neck and body binding, but with upgraded gold hardware. 17. Hi, There is not really one best year of production for J-45's. The 40s, 50s, 60s are all ok, for a 70s and/or early 80s J-45 maybe check twice before you buy (Norlin years), but there will be good J-45's from those years also, it's not that they were all bad. I have myself a J-45 rosewood from 2005, which I really use a lot.
  18. Hi, For Memphis serial numbers; CS05 stands for 2010 and CS15 stands for 2011. No more info available about the rest of the digits though. Kind regards, Stijn
  19. Hi Bozz,

I wish I could tell you more, but info on new models coming out, or going into reproduction would be considered as confidential information.

I don't think however that the custom shop division is going to reproduce this model anytime soon, as the model has been discontinued not so long ago. Kind regards, Stijn

  20. Unfortunately we don't have any shipping totals from back in those days, as the ledgers were quite mixed up back then.
  21. Should be 1993 indeed, made in Huntington Beach, California: Regular Dobro production began in 1929 in LA. In 1932, production split to LA and Chicago. 1965 -Production moved to Gardena California. Shortly after (C. 1967), Dobro moved to Huntington Beach, CA. Gibson purchased OMI in 1993. In 1997, Gibson moved production to Nashville.
  22. Hi, The serial number SI04081331 would refer to a guitar from Samick Indonesia, made in 2004, in August. We don’t disclose information about the rest of the digits however, as that is considered as confidential information. I have been checking in pricelists in our archive if I could find back the Invader (pack), but I haven't been able to find it, so it is also very well possible that it was a special dealer edition. Kind regards, Stijn
  23. Unfortunately I could not really find any history on the Invader, although I did find the attached specs of the Invader pack. KInd regards, Stijn
  24. We don't provide information anymore on the factory codes, as the quality of our Epiphone guitars is the same throughout all the Epiphone factories; just to avoid that people were starting to ask for a guitar from a particular factory, which would thus make no sense.
