  1. Although it may seem somewhat impractical monetarily, I'd like to keep the Studio and get it refinished. It was my first Les Paul so it has a special place in my heart. I love way it plays and the sound. I'd just like a color change and a little different feel on the neck with a new finish. Thanks for the responses to both of you!
  2. I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany in Worn Cherry that I'm thinking I'd like to get refinished (Solid Color, Glossy Finish, Faux Binding, etc) as I don't like the finish of the "worn" feel especially since purchasing my Les Paul Traditional a few weeks ago. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could get a quality job done at a reasonable price? I don't even have a clue as to how much it would cost or where to look. I'm located in NC. Thanks in advance!
  3. Finally got the response from Sweetwater and put the order in! Now it's just a waiting game!
  4. Can anyone from Gibson verify the availability of the Les Paul Traditional in Wine Red? Guitar Center was clueless (go figure?!) and kept trying to sell me a Traditional Pro. I contacted Sweetwater Music and they had heard nothing also. I'd very much love to pull the trigger on a new Les Paul, and one in Wine Red would only make it sweeter!
  5. If you don't mind me asking, where did you order it from? I'm very much interested in purchasing another Les Paul (right now I have a Vintage Mohagony Studio) and really want one in wine red with pickup covers. It reminds me of my father's 76 Les Paul Standard in that color. I was told that GC had the Traditional Pro in wine red, but I want covered pickups. Thanks in advance!
  6. Thanks for the help everyone. I was able to find the correct one for a double cut model.
  7. Recently purchased a Les Paul Special Double Cutaway w/ P-90 pickups and was looking to spice it up a little bit. I already changed out the switch tip and knobs, and want to put a Black/White/Black pickguard on there. I actually ordered one, but once it came in, I realized that it is shaped nothing like the one currently on there. I'd prefer not to make any permanent modifications (drilling or filling of screw holes). Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look? Thanks in advance.
  8. I appreciate the help! That's what my guitar looks like. Beautiful instruments!
  9. I recently purchased a Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cutaway that came with a gig bag. I was curious as to where I could find a hardshell case. I was told where I purchased it that the standard hardshell case doesn't fit the guitar. Thanks in advance!
