  1. My Les Paul Traditional Pro and Prophecy SG GX are both excellent.
  2. Yes probably because: A: You have a very good imagination. B: You have consumed some mind altering drugs. C: All of the above
  3. Which would make it simply an Epiphone, not a Gibson Epiphone.
  4. The artist in the commercial has several videos on you tube that feature different Epiphone instruments. http://www.youtube.com/user/jessicafrech?feature=watch

    HNGD

That's hilarious (and well written)! I've been married for 28 1/2 years and I still put myself through things like this periodically. I have what I would consider a well paying job but my wife is an ex-personal banker and very conservative with spending. I finally came to the conclusion that it's easier to get forgiveness than permission. I do hate the time between when I buy something and she finds out about it though, I always intend to tell her but it seems as though there is always a good reason not to tell her ( why ruin her weekend?). And then she does the check book and I feel like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. It's ridiculous, I'm 51 years old! HNGD, that is a beautiful guitar!
  6. I've thought about picking up the Les Paul Prophecy GX but haven't for 2 reasons. First (and definitely first) is my more "financially responsible" wife. Second is that I kind of felt that as an owner of a SG Prophecy GX that I would be better off looking for something else that would add a little more variety to my small collection. I love the SG version and I'm sure that I would love the Les Paul version too but it's a little easier for me to justify spending the money on the new model. I've always felt that I would prefer 4 knobs so that's definitely a plus. I've never played a guitar with the 490R and 498T pickups so the jury is out there until I play one. Now to try one out and then convince the wife.
  7. The Epiphone manual states that the factory setup for electrics is to have 4/64 on the treble side and 6/64 on the bass side, measured at the 12th fret.
  8. To me it looks like it needs to be cleaned and oiled. I use the Dunlop 65 kit on mine: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Dunlop-System-65-Guitar-Maintenance-Kit-100725910-i1134779.gc If your happy with the guitar otherwise, I would try it. Others might chime in with cheaper solutions for cleaning and oiling the fretboard.
  9. I'd like to see her on Sexy Saturday!

  11. Wow, you don't mess around when you get carried away! That's a lot of sanding!
  12. I can't find this on the blog, can you please post a link?
  13. Can you post a picture that includes the bridge? Is it the original bridge or a replacement?

    NEW LP

A sponge bob guitar is much better than ice cream! My 4 year old grandson loves sponge bob, I didn't know they made sponge bob guitars. I'm going to have to do a quick search and see if I can find one now.
