  1. Heavy strings and a medium to high action are a big improvement for better tone. Peter
  2. I wood choose the Mexican made Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster over the Squier Classic Vibe Tele. Peter
  3. I like to keep my guitars clean but i don't mind dings and scratches. As for the look(s), my favs are Strat's, Tele's, LP's (Standard, Custom, Junior, Special), SG's and ES 335's. Peter
  4. Like Ricochet mentioned the bridge has to be displaced for proper intonation. Filling the old bridge-bushing-holes and drilling new ones. +1 for the bone nut. Peter
  5. Another option would be a noise gate or a Electro-Harmonix Hum Debugger pedal. Peter
  6. I always want to ''upgrade'' my guitar with better parts, not replace them with similar spec parts. That's why i like CTS pots and Seymour Duncan or Gibson pickups. Peter
  7. Switching from humbucker to a single coil guitar (the Fender type) on most amps you use less treble and more mids and bass. Works for me. Peter
  8. I like my Fulltone Full-Drive 2 mosfet. Peter
