  1. Cherry's such a pretty finish....
  2. This may be for humbuckers, but it should be fairly similar. http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2h_1v_3w
  3. Pics would be helpful. I do know, though, that there is/was a Twisted Sister LP as part of their Elitist line. It was pink.
  4. Since I got it used, it already came with the Bigsby and the black witchhats. Got the black pickguard from pickguards.us and the E badge from the 'bay. Swapped the Kluson-styles with Grovers I cannibalized from my Epi LP. Replaced the bridge with a roller, switched out the switch (original was too loose in the middle position) and put in out-of-phase and series push-pulls in the tone knobs a la Jimmy Page. Lastly, put in Dunlop straplocks.

    any ideas?

I say go get the Triple Shot mounting rings that SD makes. Not only can you isolate each coil, you can choose whether or not you want both of them in series or parallel. Mounting's idiot-proof, to boot.
  6. I'd gladly take a cherry Casino over a burst or a blonde any day of the week. Especially with black adornments.
  7. According to the Guitar Dater Project... Your guitar was made in Korea June c.1985 Production Number: 0335
  8. Lurk moar. http://forums.epiphone.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=11174 And, dude, chill out.
  9. I'm pretty sure that's not the case. I mean, why go through the trouble of redoing the finish and changing the tuners for each comped Casino when the one you did works just as well?
  10. I'm gonna leave superficial details (e.g., tuners, finish, etc.) out of this. First and foremost: It's mine! I've got a freakin' Casino! Given the history associated with that particular model instrument, the mojo factor alone is through the roof. What's not to love about that?! Secondly, it's got a wonderful tone. P-90s, I find, have the right blend of warmth and bite; the best of single coil and humbucker tones. The first time I played "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" on it, I nearly had an orgasm right then and there. Not only did it sound like the record (as it should have), but when I switched to the neck pickup for the middle solo and drove it, it sang with such a sensual tone that set my soul ablaze. Thirdly, it's perfectly usable unplugged. When I'm practicing without an amp, I almost always go for the Casino. Sure, it sounds different from my acoustic, but I find it easier to play (probably because its body is thinner) while, at the same time, maintaining the richness of, say, an open G chord at a decent volume. Lastly, and most importantly, it just feels right in my hands. Sure, my Les Paul's neck is slimmer and, probably, better suited for my relatively small hands, but there's a great balance of the thickness of the neck profile and the width of the neck that I find enjoyable and unnoticeable when I play. I think I covered all the bases.
  11. What? No Cherries? I'll fix that...
  12. I think ELO had turquoise cellos and violins around the time of Out of the Blue.
  13. Sorry for the delay for the pics, but here they are.
  14. Wait a minute. Nickelback and Idol inspired?! Whatever you're smoking, please pass some along to me. I'll give you John Mayer, though. As a bluesman, he's downright incredible.
  15. Since when have they put the Gibson-ized "Epiphone" on the headstock of Sheratons?
  16. I've got the complete jimmy page mod on my Les Paul. It is completely and totally worth making the mod. All that's necessary for this is a push/pull pot and a 4-conductor 'bucker. Fortunately for you, SD makes their HBs 4-conductor, so you're golden. Get the wiring diagram from their site and you're golden.
  17. The Casino I won from eBay just arrived! Pics will soon follow.
  18. A dot would be a semi-hollowbody. It has a block going down the center which stabilizes the pickups and reduces the feedback dramatically. Casinos don't have that luxury, being a true hollowbody.
  19. I punched in 2, but I'm getting my third soon.
