  1. Whats going on with you, ya "old wanker"?

Have you had any news or word from GillianGirl (Karen)??? Miss that gal!

  2. Hey Anne, Did you go to the SC show? If so, how was it?

  3. Did you meet John and carry the guitars to him or ship them?

  4. Hey Nick, what are you thinking about selling??

  5. Hey bigtim! Wishing you a great birthday tomorrow. How are things in the great state of Tenn? Has been getting very hot here lately and the beach is starting to get busy. All hell breaks lose at a beach resort when school lets out...yikes!!!

  6. Hey Dan, I MUST admit! I am tired of his Whiney-*** attitude>

That's what we are 'dealing with' nowadays....Jeesh

  7. I like your signature post of paranoid redneck!

Lets 'educate' the commie bastards...Ha! I like to bring vintage guitars back to life also....do-it-myself type guy. Love to hear them speak again!!!

  8. Hey John, whats the latest??

    Rod

  9. Hey kingme, I live close to the Outer Banks and about an hour away. I am cash poor but have trading material and would like to check out your guitar and try some vintage goodness....let me know,

    Rod

  10. Aster1, Thank GOD for your articulate and common-sense abilities in explaining this stuff to people! I do not have the patience or verbal ability to do so.

I again do not understand why this topic was locked after your concise and non-confrontational explanation.

The only thing I can say is....."we are so-screwed" as a nation with the 'likes' of most people nowada...

  11. Hey, I understand! You can go from being "the guy" to being "da Man"...... Good luck to ya Travis! And keep those repair job journals coming. I, for one, like it.

    Rod

  12. Hey Travis, you changed your name? Pressure from the store....or change jobs?

  13. My hope is to remove the bridge and flatten again and glue the cracks, then re-attache the bridge with hot-hide glue. If I cannot get the bridge right, I have suggested to the owner that a re-placement would be necessary. Again, I will try to get a pic of the damage, Rod

  14. Hey Travis! Enjoying the pics of cool Gibsons! I have in for repair a '67-'68 B25 for a bridge fix. Just wondering if you would mind consulting me over the job? I will try to post some pics.

The guitar is sunburst in primo condition other than th "belly-down" adj wood bridge has cracked and pulled up from the rear to the crack joints which extend into the adjustment...

  15. Hey Sloop, how is the upcoming sale coming along?

If its not too personal....what are the circumstances of the owner selling off his collection? Just curious...

    Rod

  16. Hey ArchA-

A little too rich for my blood I'm afraid! You may want to consider consigning them with one of the major dealers. They would get more exposure and interest that way. Buyers that are looking for prime examples and spending big bucks want the assurance of authenticity and documentation when making such a deal.

    Good Luck, Rod

  17. Yep BK777, Thats what I do! I am a very soulfull white man that enjoys playing a singing the Blues and R&B.

Sorry to get off topic with personal rants. We are living through some very 'devisive' times in the USA. The president is devisive and has the Media in tow. The citizenry is split down the middle and this is not the America that I grew up with.

    Its a mess!.......

  18. I meant to say "Magic waits"

  19. I feel that I am doing much better than I deserve for all my vices and rowdiness. I will say that I have a good heart and that it goes out to all in need. I always felt that you are a good person and good 'will' come to you in this adverse time!

Miss your 'girl touch' on this forum of heathen 'ner-do-wells'-Ha!

    Welcome back...when you will...Magics wait...

  20. I am sorry to hear that this is happening to you. We never know what awaits us. A good lady friend of mine is going through the same thing. I am lifted by her positive attitude about it and her treatment. It can be beat with the modern technology available these days....so keep the faith! In all honesty, I wish I had the power to heal the whole world of ills.

    Sometimes , I feel that......

  21. Hey Karen! I miss your input. Hope all is well with you.

    Happiness...(:-)
