  1. Sorry my mailbox was full. I don't check it enough.

  2. Lars, thanks for asking about my Southern Jumbo. Had it about a month now. I'll try to do a video review on it later this week. I just recently went from hosting two open mics each month to 5 each month. They pay me, but I'm busy-as-hell. The open mics and the gigs I regularly play are becoming too much like a job....lol.....BTW, your playing, singing and songwriting is really impr...

  3. Anne, what's the nut width on your J100 and what do you want for it? I'm selling-off all of my cheaper guitars and just keeping my Gibsons and this Alvarez I picked-up. If it's one of the wider nuts, I'm definitlyl interested.

  4. Thanks for mentioning your J45. I'm just not real big on vintage instruments. I know some of them are great, but they're not worth the price to me. I hope you find a good home for it, or maybe you'll start playing it more again. See ya on the forum.

  5. Where do you live at? You in the Midwest?

  6. Sal, finally got back into the forum late this evening. They sent me 9 different new passwords today, but I never received any of them until a little while ago...lol...Anyway...thanks for your assistance.

  7. Welcome to the forum, my friend. This is a good guitar forum. Lots of knowledgeable people in here......and sometimes we have some good arguments....lol....Good to have you here.

  8. my email is larrygarrett@yahoo.com

  9. Damn, just saw your message...If you're interested in it, we can meet somewhere and you can see it. It's a 2014 and in superb condition. Not played much. No scars on it. Handled very gently, as all my guitars are. Naturally, the hard case is with it. I was going to ask 1100 for it on Craig's, but if you saw a good one for 975 then we can do that. Let me know what you think an...

  10. Love that Southern Jumbo. Sweet-looking instrument.

  11. Where are you at in KC? Maybe we can work something out on the American Eagle. It is a sweet instrument. I'm just used to the big guitars.

  12. Can't get the sound on the video, but I'll try on another computer later.

  13. Noticed you have one of the Zagerized guitars. What do you think of it? I've considered getting one, but I read so many different comments about them that I hesitate. I haven't played one, but a friend of mine has and he liked it a lot.........Anyway, welcome to the Gibby forum.

  14. Never been to his shop, although I play up around Lawson a couple times each year (music festivals). When I've used him I typically have him pick-up my guitar at the nearby Guitar Center......

  15. Who is your repair guy? Keith George? Mike Bostich?

  16. Did you mention Mass Music (in Lawrence)in one of your posts? I love going to that place. Get there every 2-3 months.

  17. Good comment on the similarity of the Sparrow and the J60. I've got a J60 and I was thinking about that too.

  18. John, keep doing what you're doing. This ASCAP crap ebbs and flows. They're definitely a pain and they do frighten some business owners, but then they kind of disappear for a while and things calm down. Keep playing and focus on writing some songs. It's a blast. Plus, it will help make you a better picker.

  20. On the J60, I believe the neck may be a bit wider than my other Gibsons. All the necks are comfortable for me, but this one in-particular is real easy to play.....Thanks for you kind words......

  22. If you think of selling that J60, let me know. I'm in the market for another Gibson. It looks real nice. Congrats on a sweet guitar.

  23. Karen, very sorry to hear that your horse is gone. It's not easy losing a "best friend." I've never lost a horse, but I have lost dogs that were my "best friend." I wish you the very best. God Bless you and your's.

  24. Thanks, my friend. I appreciate it.

  25. Welcome home, my friend..........Larry Garrett 9th Infantry, Tracker Dog Squad. july67-sept69
