  1. No vendetta at all, everybody else seems to get it right most of the time, while you seem to delight in making mistakes.

No lies whatsoever, and I have plenty of proof of your mistakes, sooo many.

  2. Many, many people look to the Epihone Electrics section of the forum for making buying decisions, it's important that the info is correct, if only for them. Snakey has been giving misinformation for quite a while, and that just isn't right on the official Epi forum, many people take what is written as verbatim, and it should be presented as such.

  3. Grats on the new LP VoD, real nice clean look to it, enjoy HNGD. EDIT: Now realizing this is probably a fake, if you're happy with it that's fine, but I too have to question, if you were advised about the fakery, then why go ahead ???
  4. The in body labels can often fall off due to the glue drying out, have you given it a good shake, it could be hiding in the lower bout somewhere. Some pics would sure help the guys get an idea of your guitar, info on how to post pics is in the DIY thread pinned to the top of the Epi Lounge. DIY Thread
  5. Hi Joe, welcome to the forums, there's a great bunch of geet geeks around here, I hope you like the place. Glad you're so happy with your Sheri, they're great guitars.
  6. You can use as many pics as you want if you host them elsewhere (photobucket etc), info on how to do this is in the DIY thread pinned to the top of the Epi Lounge. http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/51292-the-d0-it-yourself-thread-look-here-for-tech-related-questions/
  7. Hi and welcome here Mike, are you giving up guitar all together or just moving the Sherri on ??? Where are you located, prices vary region to region globally, so it will help someone give you a more accurate idea of price. It would also be much easier to estimate a price if you posted some pics of it, info on how to post pics is in the DIY threat, pinned to the top of the Epi Lounge, thanks to member animalfarm for creating and maintaining it. DO-IT-YOURSELF Thread Hope you enjoy your time here.
  8. You beat me to the friend dealy. LOL

  9. Rob, I had no idea about the wiki, that's awesome mate, a great resource.

How is you move progressing ?

  10. Unfortunately Epis are made with metric parts, the American replacements are not, they are a slight bit larger. What many do is to wrap a pencil in sandpaper and use that to open up the holes a bit.
  11. You should also be able to probe the back of the pots, the jack ground, the switch ground, the bridge etc in any combination and get continuity there, just to make sure everything's grounded properly. For to toggle replacement get Switchcraft brand, built like tanks and prob the most reliable you'll find.
  12. Right back at ya' +++, after all your making money off yours, mine are just for fun.
  13. Squeeze the crap out of it with a pair of pliers to make sure it's making contact. If you have a multimeter it's a simple matter to check for continuity.
  14. I'm doing a complete overhaul of 3 hollow and semi-hollows at the moment, pups, pots, wiring, nut, roller bridge and a setup. But I don't have time restraints like you have.
  15. Hi Mikii, welcome to the forum. Ryan hasn't been here since Sept, unless you quote one of his posts (he'll be sent a notifying email) he'd probably have no idea that he's being called upon. Just a guess, but it could be the 3-way switch on the way out, they are a weak point on Epis, next time it happens try jiggling the switch and see if that restores the volume.
  16. That's great news GH, this goes into my bag of tricks for sure, thanks for bringing to our attention.
  17. On the face of it this seems a logical solution, but you are still sending a muddy signal to be amplified, so turning down the bass on the amp is just amplifying a muddy signal with a little less bass, it is still a muddy signal though. Like the old adage states, crap in = crap out.
  18. That seems such a simple fix, I hope it works out, I'll be very interested in the results, good find GH.
  19. Fantastic looking Kat EG, great upgrades so far, well done, very tasteful.
  20. Nice place, we had a holiday house down in Duras Lakes when I was a kid, I remember the south coast used to be great, once you got past Port Kembla that is.
  21. Welcome to the forum lumesca, where in Oz are you, VSB = Vintage Sunburst.
  22. Looking good Adib. lots of sparkle in that gold finish too, you gotta be real happy with it.
  23. +1 I think you've hit the nail on the head there cj. Changing the caps will change the tone, but the pots, switch and jack cost little and are best done simply to improve reliability.
  24. It was meant to be joke, hence the LOL at the end of that line.
