  1. Wow! I remember when it was on Pawn Stars.
  2. Not music/musician related, but I just heard that Jerry Springer passed away. R.I.P. Jerry Springer, Host of Unapologetically Brash Talk Show, Dies at 79 - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
  3. So, I pulled the trigger on another one and it came in yesterday. It's a 2004 year model Ibanez Prestige RG 1570. Has the stock V8/S1/V7 pickups. Super Wizard Prestige neck. Also has the Edge Pro tremolo. Personally, I like the Edge Pro better than a Floyd Rose. Double locking, but you don't have to clip the ball end off of the strings when changing strings. Here's a picture:
  4. Oh, man. That's sad to hear if true. Their site is still up, too. I've read some comments on Facebook of people having similar issues and wondering what the deal is, too.
  5. No. That was/is the company name. They've been around since the '90's, I believe. They offered a lot of different models. I've heard nothing but great things about them over the years and just when I finally decide to try a set, I can't get them. Their site is still up, though.
  6. I just recently seen on Facebook that bassist John Regan had just passed away. He has played and recorded with John Waite, Peter Frampton, Frehley's Comet, Rolling Stones, Billy Idol, Four By Fate, and countless others. My introduction to him was with Frehley's Comet and Peter Frampton when I first started out playing as a little boy. He was a very huge and very early influence on me. I was also friends with him on Facebook, too, and chatted with him a few times and he was always super nice and gracious to me and his fans and was grateful to know that he was a big and early influence on me when I first started playing when I was 8 years old. Deeply saddened and shocked to hear about his passing. R.I.P John Regan!
  7. Nice! These were called Nuclear Extreme models. I have one in black that I dropped the EMG 57/66 set in.
  8. Does anyone know what's going on with them? So, my birthday is next month and my Dad was wondering what I wanted and I said I wouldn't mind finally trying a set of Rio Grande pickups and I picked out the Run 'n Gun set for my PRS SE EG. I know boutique pickup makers can take awhile to get. Anyway, the order never went through and I believe he said he got something emailed back saying they were out of business or something. Weird, because their site is still up. I recently looked at their Facebook page and seen some comments from people claiming to have order issues and was wondering what was going on with them, too. It's a shame because I have heard nothing but great things about them as a company and I always wanted to try a set.
  9. Been awhile since I have posted here. Hope everyone on here is doing well! Anyway, I just scored this nice 2003 PRS SE EG. I've been wanting one for years. I remember playing a few when they were new when I was a kid at a local PRS dealer. I always liked and wanted one. Regretted not getting one then. Been looking at these on Reverb for a good while and I found this one and got it. And the pedal is an MXR Duke Of Tone. It's an Overdrive, Boost, and Distortion in one. Cool little pedal.
  10. Heard about this earlier. Such a bummer. Devastating loss for sure. 😢 Got Blow By Blow playing right now.
  11. Just picked this stack up. Found it on Facebook Market Place. It's a Krank Revolution 1 stack. It's one of the earlier first edition ones - not the later 2nd edition Plus model. I was a kid when these came out and I remember always seeing these advertised in Guitar World magazines all of the time back then. Always been curious about one of these. I am really liking it so far. The original owner painted the baffle board in the cab red and the grill red, which I think looks pretty cool! I also have one of the Krank Chadwick heads. The Chadwick is more of a hot rodded British voiced amp. The Revolution is a higher gain amp.
  12. This absolute needs to be a topic on here!
  13. Haha. They're made here in the U.S.A. Yes, they're tube. I've been curious about one for quite a few years. Always heard great things about them. After playing this one throughout the day, I can see why people love them. Friedman Amplification - Home
  14. Thanks! He was such a wonderful big fella. He was like that from day 1. Honestly didn't have to do much training with him at all as a pup. Never got into any trouble. He was such a great and gentle boy. I still miss him. And you're welcome!
  15. Thanks! You're right! I wish they lived as long as we do!
  16. Traded my Peavey 5150 2 for this Friedman Pink Taco head. Running it on my Avatar 2x12 cab. The first Friedman that I have ever played and that I have ever had. I'm very impressed with this head! Sounds amazing! And it is super loud for what it is! Wanted something different and never had or played before. This little guy is awesome!
  17. Here are a few younger pics of Jake. I'll get some more up later.
  18. I replied to Merciful-Evan talking about them and also posted the site. They are good cabs. I'm happy with this one. They sound great in this and I also have a MESA F50 combo that has a MESA speaker in it, too.
  19. They're pretty much custom cabs. They are built in the U.S.A. They just sale factory direct. Of course, you can find one on the used market like I did. On their site, they offer Celestion, Eminence, Fane, and their own Avatar speakers, which are made by Fane. You can get them unloaded, too. You can choose the ohm rating, too. The PRS head is a 15 watt Mark Tremonti signature head. Has a lot of gain too it and has a wonderful clean channel. Easily the loudest 15 watt head I've heard. Mine has 6L6 power tubes in it. They now come with 5881 power tubes in it. The preamp tubes are EC83S. I don't think they changed from them. This amp is a beast! Super loud for what it is, too. Fantastic head if you want an awesome high gain head with an awesome clean channel, too. Ya know? I need to start getting vids and post them. Something that would be fun to do. Avatar Speakers – Factory Direct Speakers For Musicians Since 1992
  20. I don't have everything, haha. I guess I need to get some good family photos of everything. Thanks! This cab sounds fantastic! I've been curious about Avatar stuff for quite a few years. If you haven't heard of them, they're pretty much a factory direct custom cab company. USA made. You can choose between Celestion, Eminence, Fane, or their own Avatar speakers, which are made by Fane. You can get one empty, too. Like I said, I believe the previous owner put MESA Black Shadows in it. So far, I've been running my PRS MT-15 Mark Tremonti signature head through the cab and it sounds great with that head, which that head absolutely screams! Loudest 15 watt head I've ever heard so far. May try some other stuff through it. I still have my Soldano 2x12 with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. Love it, too.
  21. Picked up a new 2x12 cabinet yesterday. Traded off a M.IM Strat for it. It's an Avatar 2x12. Believe the guy put Mesa Black Shadow speakers in it. Really sounds incredible! Especially with my PRS MT-15 head!
  22. Thank you all so much! I appreciate everyone these responses! I'm hanging in there. I've been through it before and it's always hard and heartbreaking. It's a shame they don't live as long as we do.
  23. Oh, man, I hate to hear that! So sorry for your loss! Basset's are cool dogs! Oh, yeah. Summer can get crazy down here. Labs are great. Jake was for sure an awesome dog. One of the best I ever had. He was so gentle and loyal and loved everyone. For real! He was an adorable puppy. I'll get some more pics.
  24. Had a rough day. My Yellow Lab, Jake, passed away due to cancer. He would have been 13 on the 11th of this month. He was a great dog and such a gentle soul. He'll be missed. R.I.P Jake.
