Well I have BC30 and it's ok if they Discontinue amps like that, it all makes it better for the collector. Although I would like to see the Epiphone valve juniors amps stay, everyone love those and the modding involved, they are very popular and always sell.

Hi all, Looks like Epiphone revamped there website, looks good although I don't see any Epi Amps there. Does anyone know if there gonna discontinue the Amps or is the website still under construction.

Blues Custom 30 hiccups, loss in power
chrisbagi replied to chrisbagi's topic in Epiphone Amps & Accessories
Yeah I was thinking the same, although I changed the preamp tubes with my other set just to see and there was no change. I was looking at the power tubes and one didn't seem right, it looks like a piece of filament inside was bent out of shape, but still had it's glow. I will swap out the power tubes anyways as they where the stock ones, gonna get ones with more bottom end. Thanks Stijn. Cheers. -
Hi All, Not sure if this question was ask, so forgive me as I searched here and found no related topic. My problem with my BC 30 is when I turn it on in 30 watt mode, all is fine. Then anywhere after playing for about 2-8 minutes of playing my amp it will hiccup, seems like it goes off for a second, then back on, drop in power and sometimes here pop in the reverb, after that there is a slight drop of the volume then I here a buzzing sound. It's annoying, Everything still sounds good but can't understand why it would do that. I have had this amp for about 2 years with no issues till now. When I increase the volume you can't here the buzzing sound as it stays at that level of sound, it bugs me cause when I try to play at bedroom levels I can here it. Any thoughts on this would be great help. Thanks.

Blues Custom "Warm-Up" Noise
chrisbagi replied to gibsongarrett's topic in Epiphone Amps & Accessories
I know this is an older post. But did you ever get the fan fixed on your BC30? Mine did the same noise when I fired it up, it took a few minutes till it went away. It really drove me nuts to hear that friggin whining sound. I went around looking for one in my area, could not find one, So I did some research on youtube on how to fix a whining cooling fan.all you need is a small drop or two off barber clipper oil, peel the sticker in the back of the fan to put oil in. It worked great for me and it's been 1 year 1/2. been working great with no issue. -
Hi all, I was wondering if any of you guys out there would know. does a white Epi Les Paul custom turn to a cream color over the years as it gets old, just like the white Gibson Custom, I have seen an Epiphone custom in cream color, but that was a special run I am guessing, which I should of bought when I had a chance.

Well Thats what I am looking to try, I see them on the craigslist all the time in my area. I like the youtube demos, but still want to check it on hand.
-
Wow! Thanks guys for all the info, gonna checkem out and see my options. If I purchase one, pricey or not. I want to make sure it's the right one just like my Blues custom 30. had this amp when they first came out and I had no regreats buying it. So I am thinking of a 5 watts amp to 0.5 watts or something, the brand of it not yet for sure, but I will be busy checking out music shop on weekends.

Holy Crap! I forgot about that amp. I will check out the black Heart, and for Blackstar I look into that but this one is pricey also. Man I feel brain dead sometimes.

I was thinking of getting one, but there is nowhere around toronto to try one out, also a little pricey. Any advise from you guys. Valve USA amps http://www.youtube.com/user/ValveAmpUSA#p/u/0/llHu3bot24c

Epiphone Valve single button footswitch
chrisbagi replied to teleman55's topic in Epiphone Amps & Accessories
It should work, it's just a regular on/off switch. Check your music shop they should sell them cheap 15-20 bucks. -
Hmmmm, I am gonna check my garage for my junk, I 'm itching to whip up a little project myself.

Thanks for the video's Brian, They sound pretty good. Keep'em comin if you have more, I would really like to see a Gibson or Epiphone LP play through the amp with max gain. Cheers.
-
Hey Brianh, not sure if you can do this, you think you can post up a video on youtube, so others can hear some sound clips or something. Cheers, hope you like your new toy!

Thanks twanger, and now I will start doing some research on pre amp tubes and head down to the music shop ask info down there, I have a buddie that loves to swap tubes every so often. Cheers.
