Grande cantante!

Attenzione a non mescolare suono acustico e suono amplificato, ma soprattutto quest'ultimo con le "vibrazioni" percepite da pancia e corpo! Ned Steinberger una volta spiegò bene questo concetto: il suo primo prototipo di chitarra headless(in legno) suonava da skifo nonostante avesse tutte le risonanze al posto giusto. Colto da frustrazione, avvitò letteralmente lo strumento al banco di lavoro e si accorse che il suono elettrico migliorava drasticamente, sebbene adesso non percepisse praticamente più nulla a livello meccanico. Gli venne così l'idea di trovare un materiale che fosse più rigido del legno per costruire i suoi strumenti e fu così che cominciò a sperimentare con i compositi. P.S. A Soave c'era un bizzarro artigiano che ha portato due splendide chitarre con il top in marmi pregiati...

Allora potresti aver avuto una serie speciale molto limitata: "These were inteded to be "budget" companions to the original MIJ Fenders..originaly for the western European/ UK market..later sold elsewhere.They utilized "less desirable" design features (Large HS, 3 bolt, bullet etc) to avoid directly competing with the more vintage (50/60's style) Fender lable MIJ guitars. The VERY first ones actuly said FENDER in logo with a small "squire series" out at the HS point, but this was soon changed to the more typical "SQUIRE"... by fender arrangement. Many of the Fender Japan guitars were made by Fuji Gen Gakki (the Ibanez folks..I'm not sure about the Squires..but quality is VERY high, and is much better than any Squire since..only a few Korean Protones, and Squire Series offerings have come close. (although the new stuff is always getting better)"

In realtà le Squier giapponesi destinate all'esportazione non hanno mai avuto la paletta grande. Quelle con la paletta grande e la piastra a 3 viti erano le "domestic", destinate al mercato interno. Le Reissues TL-52, ST-57 e ST-62 furono impostate contemporaneamente sia in USA che in Giappone, nel 1982. Per una curiosa coincidenza di eventi, quelle giapponesi arrivarono sul mercato leggermente prima delle equivalenti a stelle e strisce. La '70 arrivò dopo. Vero che nel 1985 il catalogo Fender vedeva esclusivamente produzione nipponica.
