  1. 15watt egnator head a 1x12 cab an a couple of gibsons.. The simple things please me...

  2. Thanks Ian henry an megafrog for reply. The min-etune was a optional replacement for locking tuners as standard .. The pickups have been swapped for covered classic 57 an 57+ as well as a refinish. No repairs cracks or breaks so very happy an liking it. Need to tidy up the wiring an going to do the vintage wiring an change the caps. Have the cards books an hardcase too.. Going to post a new thread when finished the work on her..
  3. Here's a pic of the les Paul signature t . Its been refinished from the alpine white burst finish to a trans amber finish with dark cherry back an neck. The neck is a slim 60's style neck which is nice. Looks really nice an sounds ok. Pickups are classic 57 neck an 57+ bridge... I'm going to go through the wiring an do the vintage wiring with .22 600v orangedrop caps .. Mine-tune works ok an staying put..
  4. Hi everyone. I have been offered a 2013-14 les Paul signature t les Paul as a trade am was wondering if any owners have had any trouble or problems with this type of model guitar. Found info on Gibson site about the model but not the specs an was wondering if the minetune was any good as seen mixed reviews.. Not seen a pic yet an guy head here tonight so any info will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks for looking an replying Steve
  5. Love mine with .Strung up with.11s on an its a great for chords an soloing.. Has nice comfy neck which begs to be played.. Really liking the lil 59 in the neck position an the jb jr in the bridge good but the in between an coil tap tones really work on this guitar.. Might not need to hunt for a les Paul now.. Did say might lol ..

It's a huge sounding guitar an can't believe the way it feels for a cheap Gibson guitar which get so much bad hype.. Think this is a keeper as its so much fun ...

  8. Just got a 2009 modified mm with a difference which I'll put pics up off from a friend on Sunday.. I love it.. Two Seymour Duncan pickups + coil taps an it sings.. JBjr bridge an Lil59 in the neck work great together..
  9. Hi all, Got the chance of this guitar just before Christmas an traded a few guitars for this an a peavey Rockingham semi. It's from 1979 in natural an seems quite stock.. The condition is good an honest . When having a look over I found a stamp with a date an pencil signature in the control cavity. I checked out the serial number out an found out that this guitar (I think) was made at the Nashville plant on July 20th 1979 with the production number 128.. Now I know these aren't one of the most popular Gibsons ever made but I love it.. It has something about an it has a great tone .. Now I don't want any values on this as its not for sale an its only worth what anyone would want to pay for her.plus it's not a les Paul or a V or Sg. Will be stripping her down an cleaning her up an having a setup done on her soon an will post pics up when doing her.. Thanks for looking Steve.
  10. Thanks pip, It's the gigmaster I think the peerless model name an they look the Sam an have the same hardware an pickups.. Thanks again pip for the warm welcome again Steve
  11. Thanks Retired an Pippy for the welcome. Yeah I got both together in a swap deal with me thinning out my heard out,(5 of mine cheapies out 2 in).. The jazzer is a Peavey Rockingham pippy. Its Chinese an was built off the gretsch g3131 with headstock change plus a few other models (peerless is another).. It sounds an plays great.. Thinking of modding it at a latter date but for now I'm impressed with her.. I'm have a great time looking around at some of the post on replies an think I'm going to love this site. Thanks for the welcome again. Gasman72 (Steve).
  12. Hi everyone, My name is Steve an im from Newcastle upon Tyne in the uk. I have been playing guitar on an off for about 25 years. This week I finally got my first Gibson guitar. It's a 1979 L6-S deluxe in natural with a rosewood board . She seems quite original an in good nick.. Sounds really nice an plays better than I thought.. Full report an strip down with pics coming when due. Hope to add this wonderful site. Thanks for looking everyone, Steve
  13. Hi 60hzhum.... Yeah love them to bits... Have a Epiphone flying V with a set in as well as a one in the neck position of my Les Paul an there great in both..... I'd really recommend then to everyone mate ....... I Think there that good........ Anytime
  14. I have a 59 in my Les Paul which i bought off ebay an it's braided...... The rule of thumb with them is if there single conductor there braided.. If 4 conductor then there plastic with the 59's.... With the set i think there single conductor so they should be braided... Hope this helps
