  1. After much hemming & hawing, I’ve decided to part with my mint 2006 Gibson J-100 XTRA (Bubinga). It sounds and plays sweetly, but the facts are that I’m a shorter guy with arthritis developing in my shoulder that necessitates sticking with smaller guitars This guitar features Bubinga back and sides - which provides a rosewood-type tone --- to my ears anyway :) --- a 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, 25.5” scale. 1-23/32" nut, an L. R. Baggs soundhole pickup, mustache bridge, and a contoured tortoise pickguard. It also features full body binding, with multi-stripe purfling and a multi-stripe rosette – and includes the OHSC (also mint). $1850 – plus shipping, insurance, PayPal OR Pick-up in SE Michigan/NW Ohio corridor Please feel free to contact me with any questions via the Inbox
  2. My 2006 CJ-165 -- with no cutaway -- has pretty much the same dimensions although I measured the upper bout at exactly 11" If you're in search of an after-market case, the guitar should fit nicely in just about any OM/000 case. Mine has a Gibson OHSC but fits quite well in all three of my 000 cases (Alvarez, Golden Gate, & Glarry). I hope this is helpful.
  3. I had a P-90 Christmas in 2012! :) :) :) Les Paul Junior Special: . . . and Epi Les Paul Special I (P-90):
  4. +1 These Dunlop locks are secure, simple, and inexpensive. In the USA: http://elderly.com/accessories/items/SL1S.htm
  5. I also own a bubinga J-100 XTRA and absolutely love its warm tone. The eBay description seems to be a cut & paste job by someone who either -A- doesn't know anything about the guitar or -B- didn't read what he copied (the pics show that the guitar is made of bubinga). The clearly inaccurate description & the asking price of almost $3100 (in US dollars) for a guitar that usually fetches about half of that leads me to conclude that "A" is the correct answer. Consequently, I'd make no offer at all on this guitar. The seller's feedback rating notwithstanding - this auction smells very fishy. . . That said - the J-100 XTRA is a wonderful guitar.
  6. Replace the piezo: You can get on on eBay for about $15.00
