And to top it off after 13 years of shopping at my local shop I finally made their website/facebook! As strange as it sounds its a weird honor. I remember as a kid their old store was covered with the photos of all of their customers going back to the late 80/early 90s. Its cool to finally be in the club! If you are in Alabama I cannot recommend Guitar Gallery of Tuscaloosa and Pelham enough!

Nice looking Git! Yeah I notice on mine that there is a little finish bleed into the binding, but no biggie. Picked her up and she is a beaut. Plugged her into my 1963 Gibson Atlas and she sang! Still trying to dial her in with my board and amp, but so far this one is a keeper. Quick thoughts: Pros: Pickups are wonderful, kills the minihums in my 1978 Gibson Les Paul. Weight is just right IMO Beautifully figured wood on back, Cherry finish is just the right shade. Case is well built and cool in grey Cons: Small finish imperfections ( cherry bleed into binding in a few areas) Finish inbetween the neck and the neck pickup looks a little shoddy, but its in area you can't really see unless you are looking over the guitar with a magnifying glass. Overall I'm extremely pleased with this guitar so far and the issues I found IMO are minor and are pretty common in this price range even in MIA guitars in this range

Yes it does fit in the case if you rotate the arm back to the left. I'll take better pics of the whole guitar and shoot a vid when I pick her up in a few weeks.

Well I have about 500 left to pay before I take her home, but this new one is absolutely flawless. Its #1300 something out of 1962. It wont let me post a pic from my phone :(

Well my new guitar is finally in!!! The store left a message last Friday and I missed it. The owner said the new one is flawless. I'm going today to put down an additional 200 dollars and I should be able to take her home by the end of the month.

Well even though I received work last week that my guitar is in Nashville it still hasn't arrived here ( I'm only 5 hours south of Nashville ). This has been an extremely frustrating experience. I don't think I will ever pre-order another guitar. I just want to play the thing already. I feel so teased because the first one I received played like butter :(

Just got word that my Guitar just arrived in Nashville and is going through inspection, Setup, and QC. SO hopefully it should be here soon.

I would do that but I got a really killer deal from my local dealer. I was able to order from them about $100 cheaper than AMS for the tremotone version. I'm going to wait it out. I e-mailed them today to see what the hold up is. The first one came in less than a month after I ordered it. Played so nice, but had the neck cracks that a lot of these seem to have.

Congrats on getting yours in. Mine was supposed to be either in or shipped by Jan. 15th. It still hasn't arrived to my dealer. I just contacted them today to see what the hold up was. This has been the first time I ordered something direct before it hit retailers. So far it has been a pretty crappy experience. I ordered in mid November and I have yet to receive a problem free Sherry :( .

The first one that was sent to me ( Cherry with trem) didn't have a thick neck, but I also didn't find it super thin. It was pretty comfortable to me.

Here's one on Ebay that has a similar crack to the first one I received: It worries me that so many are showing up with the same issue in the same spot. For mine it felt like a small crack in the wood as I could feel the wood and not just a crack in the finish. If it had been a surface/ finish crack I would have overlooked it since I was already getting the guitar way under internet prices. On mine it began at the bottom of the nut and extended down along the fretboard. I wish I had snapped some pics of it. I'm not giving up hope on these as it really was an amazing playing and sounding guitar.

Sorry didn't get a chance to a take a pic of it as I just left it at the store after showing it to the store owners. I tried to ignore it because the guitar sounded so good, but I could feel the crack on the surface. It seems like these are guitars having major issues. Do a quick Search on Ebay and see how many have been "refurbished" for issues and blemishes. I've never had any issues with Epiphones arriving with damage from shipping and I've order two ( a Lucille and Korina V). My next one is supposed to be in Mid January. If it has any issues the next time I will ask for a deposit refund and get something else.

Well mine came in and I was thrilled then immediately disappointed. Cool grey case, finish and setup was flawless. Neck extremely comfortable. It did have that weird squared edge near the body but it didnt bother me while playing. Pickups sound amazing, need to get a set of these into my 78 deluxe pro! Pots have a nice sweep. Unfortunately I noticed right away that there was a hairline crack that went from the nut to about the 2nd fret on both sides :(. Pointed it out to the owners and they will be sending it back. This was #721. Hopefully the next one will be as beautiful but with out shipping damage

Well I won't be picking it up next week as the store is letting me do a 90 day lay-a-way. I will get to inspect it, play it a bit, because if I don't like it I will send it back and get a return of my deposit. I should be able to snap a few pics and do a mini-review. I should be able to get it in late jan/ early Feb. You can expect a full video review then.

Well its official, I went in today and put down a $100 deposit. I ended up getting a killer deal on the cherry with tremotone for about 763 out the door. Cant wait til it gets here in 30-60 days !

I see you are in Alabama too. Who did you get to order one? I talked to Guitar Gallery in Tuscaloosa today and they tell me the Cherry Sherry with the tremotone is back ordered 30-90 Days. Sunburst and Natural are available now. I told them to go ahead and put an order in for a red one as the wife says I have to put this one on lay-a-way anyways.
