  2. hey Rob I'm still here so I have been a good boy. hahaha

  3. I can't believe I've missed this thread for so long. I've been watching everyone's performances for an hour now and great stuff by all. Here's one I wrote for my wife of 30 years. Posted it in the Gibson lounge awhile back but more appropriate for here I suppose. Played on my Epi IB Texan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEJjG2pFDXU&feature=player_detailpage
  4. No caffeine after 6 pm. I used to drink a couple cups of coffee after dinner but found I was waking up at 2am and could not fall back asleep. Seems to work for me for the most part.
  5. Yep what tweed said. Common issue with the Casino.
  6. I'm a tad older my friend. 02/11/60

  7. welcome back! Hope you're as blessed as ever my friend.

  8. Hey dave don't mind at all

  9. Played mostly strats or super strats most of my life and didn't buy my first Les Paul until my mid forties. The 60s neck on my studio deluxe feels perfect to me. It's great to have choices isn't it.
  10. Here's my Studio Deluxe vintage sunburst w/60s neck
  11. I have a studio deluxe with a 60's neck and I love it.
  12. Its caliman that seems to miss him. The smell of Bubba love is ripe in the fall California air.
  13. Yeah color wise I didn't really have a fav but price wise I couldn't say no. The GC near me had 6 ( 3 in each color). I played all of them searching for the best overall sound and feel. I almost bought a brown one but it had a long scratch below the tone knobs. The sales kid said they could take off 20 bucks. Ha Ha Ha! As it was the last one I played was perfect! No sweat stained pickups, no 15 yr old DNA mucking up the fretboard, no nicks, no scratches, no divots. That last one was cherry. My wifey likes the red one best. She's happy and I got a great Les Paul. Yeah Baby!!
  14. I called Gibson to see what was best to use on the VM and they said that Gibson spray polish was fine. I just wipe it on and buff it off with a soft micro fiber cloth. The neck is so smooth with that light finish and its so easy now to move up and down the neck. Some other Les Paul finishes almost make it feel sticky.
