Newbie here.
I'm an "okay" guitar player that's had multiple guitars and played sporadically for decades. Most of the guitars have been low-to-mid range guitars ... and no Gibsons. Mostly because I'm a cheapskate.
Now, I am earning a good income and got approval from the "boss" to buy my dream guitar for around $3k USD. I've always wanted a Gibson 335. I know I could go with an Epi for less, and my cheapskate-ed-ness is not going to get the best of me and I'll get a Gibson.
So, the question for the experts here ... used or new? I'm concerned that a used 335 could be a fake, but with some effort, a few dollars can be saved on older models that could have a scratch or two (I'm okay with some wear). Any pros/cons to consider? Any advice for my first Gibson?
