Gibson can rehash and repackage very easily.
-
Dude tried hard to avoid mentioning TS…I get it.
-
Wouldn’t be surprised if Gibson reproduced one of Slash’s Kris Derrig ‘59 LP copies.
-
Sounds like you have a 1961 Gibson ES-355 Stereo Varitone.
-
Damn Dave you are right. This is closest to the guitar. But the tailpiece is different. https://reverb.com/item/80890572-gibson-l-7c-1949-sunburst?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=80890572

Thanks Dave. I initially searched for an L5 but it didn’t look like it at all. Was thinking maybe 350. Actually don’t think it’s an L4, cos I saw another picture and there are 2 pickups. Perhaps maybe an L4 with double pickups? https://www.etsy.com/listing/904737739/bono-guitar-1988

Can anyone tell me what guitar is this? ES-350? https://www.reddit.com/r/U2Band/s/2Zv0qkZVes

The J-180 in the light pink or light blue is probably what was the rumor, inspired by Taylor Swift in those colors, even the Ebony colored one. She has all 3 colors, so it’s not really a signature but close to what her Gibson J-180s look like.

@Swampdog62 You get a mention at the the 2:44 mark…

"Inspired by John Lennon" Revolution Casino - body care
Hype replied to Bortron86's topic in Epiphone Electrics
Inspired By came with a nitro finish? Those were reserved only for the Limited Edition 1965 John Lennon Casinos I believe. -
Since Gibson & Epiphone has been doing well with their Artist Endorsement Signatures, rumor has it Taylor Swift will be a getting an Epiphone Signature, based on the custom “Lover” painted Gibson J-200. Anyone else hear through the grapevine?

Not surprising usually either around Feb/Mar or Oct/Nov each year there is a price increase.
-
Would be nice if they released a Sunburst one..
-
Sweet. I haven’t had enough time to really sit down with mine….

A few years ago I got a Roland TR-09 and BOSS DR-880. I still have to get a Roland 808 then think I’m done with drum machines. Last year I got a Beat Buddy Pedal and foot switch it’s still sitting in the bloody box, haven’t even played it yet….Sometimes you just buy a lot of stuffs and it just collects dust. Oh well.
-
That would be nice as well..Perhaps shipping Gibsons in climate controlled bags like Martin does would be nice..
-
Just noticed, Santa is good to those who have $$$$$$$$$$.
-
I bought his guitar brand new back in ‘97 for $810 CAD. It’s a great guitar.
-
Nice. I just picked up my Falcon a few weeks back….

Whatever you guys have planned in 2024 will most likely be rehashing of models you haven’t made in a while, or new Artist Signatures. Definitely an Epiphone DG-335 & perhaps the Gibson version. You guys may start building the ES-175 or perhaps ES-330 again. More Epiphone USA Made Series. Perhaps building a Chet Atkins Gibson Country Gentleman? We know in September you’ll do another Joe Bonamassa Epiphone Signature or perhaps Gibson Signature of one of his guitars….Maybe the $50K mystery guitar that was supposed to be released in 2023 is pushed to 2024..

I never said it was a Casino. It’s definitely a 330. I think the Bigsby B7 was added on and it didn’t ship from the factory like that.

OK, based on what I’m seeing have a couple more questions: 1) Find out if it is a Custom Shop. Check the back of the headstock near the nut to find out if there is a Custom Shop decal. 2) If there is a decal, perhaps Gibson did a 1962 ES-330 reissue. If not, then I suspect that the Bigsby B7 was added on by one of the previous owners. From what I’ve seen 2017 had 2 types of Casinos in Cherry Red, one with dot inlays and a Bigsby B7, and another with Parallelogram inlays and the traditional trapeze tailpiece.
