  1. Thanks for the reply. I have in fact replaced the pots and wiring, and in hind sight wish I changed the pickups at the same time as it was an absolute nightmare changing the pots, switch and jack, and don't fancy doing it all over again. If I was to use the existing pick up wire, would this effect the sound of the new pick ups? Cheers
  2. Considering changing the pickups on my Sheraton. What's the easiest way to do this? Would I have to take the pots etc out of the F hole and connect outside of the guitar, or could I use the existing pickup wires attached? Thanks
  3. I have an Epi sheraton 96 model (Korean). Just curious as to what the top is made of? anybody know? Cheers
  4. Thanks for posting the video - I haven't seen this one so this should help a lot. I'll take some photos and post them once it's finished. Cheers guy
  5. I'm quite looking forward to the challenge. Me and the old man are gonna give it a go. Wish us luck!
  6. How easy would it be to fit? Would it just be a case of soldering the pick up wires to the pots etc? Cheers
  7. Thinking of getting this wiring kit for my Sheraton http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200559857372&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Anyone installed one of these? Seems really good quality and quite cheap. Cheers
  8. Thanks for the quick response. Ok that's good as it's really getting on my nerves! It must of been rewired at some stage as there just seems to be wires everywhere inside. Cheers
  9. I've been thinking about getting my Sheraton rewired as I want to upgrade the pots etc, and also the wires inside are very visable/messy. What I want to know is, if I get it rewired, is it possible for the luthier to hide the wires inside so that they are not visible when looking directly at the guitar, you can't see them? Cheers :)
  10. Looking for some guidance, I'm think about getting some effects pedals, I fancy getting an ibanez tubescreamer and a boss space echo pedal. I've never Got single pedals in the past, always had effects units. What I want to know is, will I suffer with signal loss, or would I be ok as it's just two units. Ive hear people talking about signal loss in the past so just want some info on this if possible. Many thanks
  11. Yeah that makes sense. Thanks mate for the help, think I'll give it a go later and hopefully it should be a bit neater inside there. Cheers
  12. I've noticed that the contacts for the pot for the tone control for the bridge pickup are visible. Is there any way I could turn the pot around so the wires are inside the guitar more, if that makes sense? Cheers
  13. I'm thinking of tidying the wiring up inside and trying to disguise it a bit, but not sure how I'd go about doing this. Has anyone ever had to do this before? If so, how would I do it? Would I need to take the pots out etc in order to do this, or is there a easier way? Cheers
  14. Sorry about the bad quality, I took the photo on my iPhone
  15. It doesn't bother me at all, I was just curious as it's my first semi acoustic. I've got a feeling it's been rewired at some stage of it's life, which doesn't bother me as the electrics are excellent and the guitar plays like a dream. The guitar is '96 korean sheraton in tobacco... I'll get some pics posted later! Cheers guys
