    thanks Bob . It's always a pleasure to read you I know the guys in Bozeman built at least 1 replica (I guess with the specs Ren took) : I don't know where this guitar ended up ... But I contacted Fuller's once to see if they could get me a replica without the Autry (so you are not alone !!) JC

    folks , for those of you who like the 12 fret versions or are fans of the old country western scene : here's some info on the guitar : Gibson presented Autry with this custom-made guitar model J-200 #462E in 1939. He owned two of these flat-top guitars which are now very rare and valuable JC

    Why not call it a Ren 45 or a MR 45 ??? Martin probably burns all the cool **** Boak designs lol they don't deviate from anything traditional ... Gibson I guess is known for that . Maybe the food in Montana has something to with it since it makes them go crazy and wild doing weird stuff like this . I bet if Chris Martin (the founder) saw the Doves In Flight or a Firebird Custom he would shoot himself . and from what I have read Orville did stuff different everytime . JC

    some high quality pictures of your Ren Ferguson J 35 .

    Those pictures will serve me as a reference when I ask gibson again to build me a lefty J 35 . If it's not too much to ask I'd like pictures

    so you have a 5 star dealer near you ? i'd place an order if I were you ( if you have the money burning your pocket too :D ) either guitar would be cool . but I think the Hummingbird would hold it's value alot more just because it's one of the 3 flagship gibsons.

    if you can find a true vintage hummingbird from 2007 (when Gibson made the first run) those were more consistant . but pretty much any true vintage hummingbird is very nice sounding (not all though you may find one that has issues) . want some proof ? here is a 2007 hbird TV : I have no input on the fire bird custom

    thanks dubstar :) . hope you danced your shoes off . and sang your heartout I am greatful to you for taking a look inside the guitar too !! was it a stamp of the Martin family ? I think it's the president of martin , his wife and their daughter . that stamp came with the 175 anniversay edition instruments . but they also came with a label . Do you think it's a standard D 28 ?

    yeah so I've seen ... someone on the martin forum said they got to see inside of the soundhole of the D 28 paul was playing (via the gigantic screen) and saw a 175 anniversary stamp in it. but I've searched all over youtube and I mostly see him playing a non label D 28
