  1. Enjoy yours !!! I can’t wait until you have it in your hands !!! I had a custom order made for someone I used (based on Noel’s Ronnie Wood J 200) to know a long time ago which got signed by Noel Gallagher eventually: https://ibb.co/LZYBkLw We no longer are friends and this person has agreed to return the guitar (covid obviously slowed that process down) to me since it was a symbol of thr friendship . So this NG model would have been the perfect closure to that situation. Again … Enjoy the heck out of yours !!! Very lucky JC
  2. You’re not late . Gibson just did an awful job of giving information about this guitar. I had been waiting for over 1 year to hear the details and I just recieved word from my dealer the entire run is sold out and has been for months … So I’m not getting the guitar either . They should have clearly stated that this was a)limited edition and b) that you could preorder it months in advance . Just saying it was available in June made it seem like it was going to be a model anyone who wanted one could order it . I wanted this guitar for personal reasons and it’s been tough to digest the fact that I won’t be getting one . JC
  3. Check it out : https://ibb.co/M2WqsVV Still in development but I guess they are getting close . JC
  4. Folks, It’s a common thing to hear people say that the L 00 disappeared by 1941 and was replaced by the LG 2 but over the years I’ve seen a handful of Banner L 00’s: Are these unicorns ? JC
  5. The idea behind this is a J 200 for a lead guitar player. And Yes Orianthi selected the red color . i dig everything except the Ebony . JC
  6. Just ordered a left handed Frontier in Sunburst . I’m excited . I’m glad Epiphone is Getting USA reissues. JC
  7. Here’s a second video where he plays both the new one and the original : If you set the video quality feature in YouTube to 1080p the sound improves quite a bit and they really sound very similar (At least in this setting). Gibson is doing some pretty awesome things JC
  8. I could be wrong but by the looks of the finish it looks to have a “terrified” top. If it does that might make me lose some interest in acquiring one. JC
  9. Folks, Check it out : Only for the Japanese market but it’s still a cool piece . I dig the burst. JC
  10. Gibson Montana has a heavy back order of a few thousand guitars .They are expanding the Bozeman plant . JC
  11. Beautiful ! The Majority of riffs torte album “Raw Power” by The Stooges were developed on a Gibson B 25 -N (for natural). Enjoy your family heirloom! JC
  12. T, The Hummingbird Sustainable was built by design with a pick up .If you want one without it you would have to custom order it from a dealer and specify that you don’t need the pick up or strap button . JC
  13. I think it has to do with how fanatical Japanese people are about vintage guitars. The signature models Gibson does with Japanese artists are also only available there as well ( I know cause I tried to order one once and was told NO). Except for some very rare occasions where American dealers acquire them directly and I’ve seen that happen maybe on 2 or 3 occasions since Reverb has been around. I know the Billie Joe Armstrong J 180 that he was playing around the release of his signature J 180 was a Japanese market edition with the Pinless Bridge that some producer he worked with had at his studio ... BJA liked that guitar so much he kept it and he played it live a ton .I believe Japanese shops request that feature a lot on the J 180’s they get I’ve never seen one like that ordered by an American shop. His signature J 180 came with a normal bridge . You can see the pinless Bridge model here: JC
  14. Very nice ! Enjoy in good health JC
  15. Nick, Empty your messages so I can PM you. JC
  16. Folks, Check out Mr.Petty with his original one-off Wild Flower courtesy of Mark Agnesi: https://www.instagram.com/p/CM4fk_YnIIB/?igshid=kjc35kmrzhqw JC
  17. Nick, Are you talking about the one with the blue stain that REN was building ? JC
  18. Yes , I own 1 Hummingbird . I’ve always said that if I could only own 1 guitar it would be a Hummingbird but since I’ve been lucky enough to own several Gibsons ... Maple bodied Gibsons are my favorite .But a Hummingbird would be the desert island guitar . Basically the richness and versatility of mahogany would be why I would stick with a bird if I could only own 1 instrument . But since I have a choice I relish in the ghostly/quick decay of maple Gibbys.A lot of people don’t enjoy the 1 dimensional quality of maple but for me and they way I play it’s perfect . I consider it a luxury to own maple instruments . Hummingbirds are the loudest guitars I’ve ever played .I would enjoy one till the end of time if I was forced to sell everything else and become a bum ... I’d be a bum with a Hummingbird lol. JC
  19. No , It’s not the 10K . I’m interested in a different Gibson model more than the Tom Petty . I don’t have the 10K right now but that doesn’t mean that I couldn’t get a TP model if I really really wanted one . I dig it but there’s another model that I’m interested in and that’s what I’m going to put my money towards . JC
  20. 100 percent a real Gibson Doves in Flight .
  21. Hummingbirds are the best guitars ever in my humble opinion . JC
  22. Gibson is entitled to price things as they see fit . The outrage of people just because it’s beyond their grasp doesn’t concern Gibson ... They have basic models as well that aren’t out of reach for someone who wants a fine guitar . People who couldn’t afford Gibsons and Martins in the 30’s purchased other brands . People who won’t be able to afford Gibsons or Martins in 100 years will buy other brands as well. JC
  23. Folks, Check it Out : Sounds like a million bucks to me ... but i am a maple lover . JC
