  1. These should be given with every purchase of a guitar. When you buy a 5000 plus guitar one of those gibson guitar stands would be a nice throw in.
  2. That era was strong for L5s and Byrdlands. Great guitars.
  3. The sound was good. But it had a ovation type tone to it. Im sure there are a few that will by those and give great reviews.
  4. There expensive. I looked at one here. It was not cheap. However I did get a wooden pick.
  5. I have a product that could be applied to keep it from crumbling. I put it on a 1917 F4 pickguard. That was in the process of falling apart. I will get the name of the tube and post. It sets up quickly and oder is very minimal
  6. That one is gassing off big time. Someone got the mix wrong. Back then. thats just like some of my archtop guards. Crumbling. You should get that off of there. Before the binding goes sideways.
  7. Your bridge location is your scale length. Of 24 3/4” Usually parallel with the center tips of the f holes As for flat frets? How many are flat. ? If there divots are deep. Maybe get a luthier to replace those and set up the guitar. Doesn’t cost very much.
  8. Nothing wrong with a L00. 14 fret. Versatile little guitar. Easy to hang on too. And prices are not high on those. L1 is a 12 fret, Nick lucas is a cool guitar , but priced a little high for a few extra appointments whats your price range? then go from there.

  11. I dont see any reason for that not to be original. Rules of thumb for Gibson classicals the higher the number the more ornate. look at reverb or gbase to get a value of what they sell for . A library or guitar store for a gruhn guitar pocket book A wealth of info
  12. No truss rod. , no cover, the back of the headstock looks wrong. Actually it all looks wrong.
  13. See if you can talk to a gibson dealer and see if they can get the ball rolling for you. maybe work with the dealer. Im not sure where your at. But up here , if the item was bought through a gibson dealer. They have to go through channels to get it moving along. us customers really dont have anyone to talk to at Gibson , Gibson is in the market for mass production and selling there wares .
  14. Kind of difficult to give a answer without pictures to see what were dealing with. take it to a luthier to get a proper answer to your question. Then you can decide if its worth cleaning up
  15. Serial numbers change over the years. Woods change from one guitar to the next. And label may have not been on every guitar through the years

  17. the higher the number, the better the quality. 1st time for me seeing a C4. Really Nice. I owned a C6 Not for very long though. Traded it for a 61 D28
  18. First thing that came to mind was the plaque shadow. Regal had the same design. As KS said kay, Harmony .

  20. Nice set. I seen a set like yours in Kennewick Washington. Sitting in a display case. It had a nfs tag on both.
