  1. That will be what Ill do.
  2. Actually after the wide white truss rod covers .
  3. Actually the store in question is a authorized Gibson Dealer. Yorkville sound aka Long and Mc Quade They were still denied. I was more than willing to pay the cost of the item and delivery. I was also willing to Provide a serial number and photos . This store sells Les paul trussrod covers in a Gibson package right off the shelf . No serial numbers required thee. .
  4. How many of you folks are looking for specific Gibson tuners, Trussrod covers or even maybe a OEM bridge. All to find out they dont sell parts at request. But in the same moment. The guitar stores have packaged Gibson Branded parts for sale on the Gibson sold store racks. I dont get it.
  5. I have seen the finish lift at the front of the bridge on newer Gibson acoustics from the 90s back at that time era but there were other factors of drying out and the tops changing shape that created the issue , also the saddle being way to high creating a lean forward . not sure why this 45 took a crap. Maybe the lack of screws didnt help matters
  6. No ink stamps inside? Back of headstock? And it would of been called a Country western SJ or southern jumbo would of been sunburst. if Im not mistakin. Square shoulder CWs started in about 1963.
  7. I tried out a 43 /j45 today. A Murphy model. I was told to remove my jacket so I would not scratch it. Nice looking hummingbird btw.
  8. Minus 37c ,with the wind chill minus 44.c. tomorrow. Minus 50c they are forecasting via the weather net work .

  12. Pictures? Is it a 70s guitar with a volute? Possible it could of had a decal on the back of the headstock. With out pictures its anyones guess
  13. The wife bought me a pick cutter. Nut files. I treated myself to a 1937 Gibson L30.
  14. I prefer keeping parts on a new guitar original till they wear.out. As for strings. I like light guage. But thats me. any of my older non truss rod guitars get extra light guage. Nothing more archtops. Med guage.
  15. Stan is s really good guy. Great store. But as like other stores Staff changes, experience in stock lacks. Management tends to make bad decisions ,. Hope you get it worked out
  16. Merry Christmas to everyone.
