  1. Hi. I'm thinking it's about 1/16 wrench. It's the smallest or next to the smallest of the bunch. Let me know if this helps.
  2. I've been thinking strongly of going with Carvin pickups for both my Spirit GT Pro and Hohner G2T. I want to go with the covers to maintain the original look but they also sound fantastic. http://www.carvinguitars.com/group/single_coil_twinblade_pickups Check them out and see if they will work for you. The link above is just for single coil and mini hum since you already have your 2 humbuckers. Marvin
  3. I swear by double ball strings. That is all I use on my Hohner G2T and Sprit. I would never use anything else. I have never broken a string, love the quick string changes, no problem with the bridge string holders. The only time I would use regular stings on my headless is if I wanted to use flat wounds for more of a jazz oriented sound in which I would have to get an adapter but that's it. Double balls strings for me are the way to go. I use 9's and sometimes 10's, GHS and Steinberger strings.
  4. Yes; that is a great idea Bernd. I will go with that. Thank you. macman
  5. Hey Guys; Need help with something. I have a Hohner G2T and a Steinberger Spirit Pro. I want to replace the two humbuckers with hotter pickups and completely remove the middle on my Spirit Pro. The middle pickup just gets in the way of my picking and I don't use it at all. That is why I like my Hohner G2T. But I wanted to know if anyone has done this before; how do you like it and what did you use to cover the hole in the middle. I know I can use white tape but if anyone has any other ideas; I am completely open. I would also be open to just lowering the middle pickup as far as it can go just so that it does not interfere with picking but it only goes down so far. Thanks much macman
  6. Hi Guys; Sorry to get back so late. I think I have made up my mind to get the ZT-3. After watching the YouTube videos and reading the responses I feel this the guitar to go with. My cousin has one as well and loves it so I'll make it happen. Thanks much.
  7. Hi Gmiller; I found this site on Ebay which sells Steinberger GT gig bags. The price is OK but it seems very sturdy and protective. Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHASE-HEADLESS-ELECTRIC-GUITAR-25MM-PADDED-GIG-BAG-CASE-/330408267499?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item4cedde0eeb Macman
  8. Hey Guys, I am looking to buy a headless guitar (Steinberger Synapse Trans Scale) for travel purposes and for the baritone sound. However, I have a lot of concerns with the availability of strings. I usually play in drop C tuning (CGCFAD) and I think I will tune the transcale to drop A# (A#FA#D#GC) and the only strings I see that are suitable is the Steinberger Baritone strings (.068 for the lowest string). I am wondering if the strings can take the tuning and whether they would be too thick as I have never had strings that thick before. Thanks!!
  9. Hey Guitarrob; Just checking in. How is everything going?

  11. Hey guys, Need some advice. I have a Spirit Pro Deluxe which I love. I’m thinking of changing the neck to a Moses graphite. I know a luthier in my area that will do the operation. I can't afford an original Steinberger right now. Do you think swapping necks is a good idea? thx much. macman
