  1. I'd love to see the gem series B.B. King Lucile's from Epiphone. The purple and green from Gibson looked fantastic. I sent Epiphone a picture of my 12 EPI's begging for them to make the gem series available but haven't gotten any reply.
  2. Oh your right, the Royale lines styling, is over the top glitz. But thats kinda what I like about them. I wish they would have made the fret dots in black though, because I can't see the white dots with all that glitter on the neck binding.
  3. A few months ago I ordered a Riveria Royale from Guitarcenter. After 2 or 3 months of waiting and being told it was on back order, I called them and asked if I could change my order to a Swingster Royale for the same price since they still couldn't tell me when the Riv would be in. They agreed to do the deal for 50 bucks over the Riv price, plus I had a 100 dollar coupon so I get the Swingster. Don't ya know, a couple days later they send me a notice that the Riv is now in stock and 100 dollar off coupon deal is on again for fathers day, plus my son gives me a guitarcenter gift card for fathers day. As if thats not enough luck, guitarcenter in Tampa, 20 miles from me, actually has a Riv in stock. So of course, I now have a Riveria Royale added to my collection. Compared to the Swingster which is flawless the Riv isn't detailed quite as well. The binding doesn't go around the headstock as it does on the Swingster or around the f-holes. The f-holes are just painted and there's a few visible paint drips in the f-holes that could have been sanded off. The neck is thicker than the Swingsters, though thats not a quality issue. How does it sound? Very good. The P90's have a nice bite to them. Pictures to follow soon.
  4. Guido I have an Epiphone B.B. King also. I've tried several strings from D,Adario flat wound 11's to coated 9's with out a problem. I never made any adjustments to the neck, the bridge or the nut. The guitar stayed in tune including intonation and never had a problem with fret buzz. This guitar has a strong neck so don't worry about it. I found the 9's to work the best for me.
  5. I'd be willing to bet thats a counterfit Epiphone from China. The discription reads like the ads on the Chinese web sites. Stay away from it.
  6. Here's the link to my photobucket page with my guitars http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v736/fldonna318/IMG_2140.jpg
  7. I tried that but the Swingster wammy bar is about an inch too long. It sticks out of the case.
  8. I'm new to the forum so hello to everyone. I just added a new Swingster Royale to my EPI collection. It's a wonderfull guitar. Anybody know where I can get a hard case for it? It fits in a EPI jumbo case however the bigsby gets compressed a bit. I couldn't find a specific case on EPI's web site. I'm not sure how to add this info to my posts but I have an B.B.King, an EJ-200 E, Wildcat and a Broadway.
