  1. Yeah I'm just hoping maybe some person has one on here and will like you said maybe help me out, so I'm still just gunna see how it goes for now. and @L5Larry Not for me, it's cheaper to do it this way, I am in the business, so I work where they turn out the wood that goes into these instruments, I just thought I'd make my own, I have the fretboard, the neck, and the body blank (the fretboard is slotted and ready to go 12" radius and all) and the neck and body blank need to be cut, then the Mortise & Tenon joint style will be used and I have all of the electronics, and the hardware to put it all together, and the tools to do all of this, but without the dimensions as a map, I can't do any of this.
  2. Hi guys I need help, I'm gunna construct a Gibson Explorer build and i need a lot of dimensions, I checked everywhere short of buying a template so I wanted to see if anyone who owns an Explorer to post the following dimensions. (Note: On the first picture: Dimensions 1 & 2 start mid-curve on each end of the dimension, Dimension 3 starts mid curve and goes to the seem of the neck and the body joint, Dimension 4 is only the flat surface (not mid-curve), Dimension 5 starts on the flat surface (not mid-curve) and then goes to the middle of the mid-waist curve, while dimension 6 continues from the end of 5 and goes to the end of the body, Dimensions 7 starts at the edge of the body and goes to the middle of the strap button, while 8 continues from 7 and then stops mid-curve to connect to dimension 1. On the second picture: Dimension 9 is from the mid-curve of the bottom of the body to the mid-curve of the top of the body (same side), Dimension 10 is just the length of the fretboard, and Dimension 11 is the (parallel to the neck) dimension (including the nut) to the top of the headstock. On the third picture: Dimension 12 from the middle of the strap button to the middle of the neck, Dimension 13 is the (perpendicular to the neck) dimension of the headstock, Dimension 14 is the length of the curve of the headstock, and finally Dimension 15 is the dimension of the middle of one tuning peg to the next) Thank you to anyone that can help, I know that there are a lot of dimensions there, but any help would be great, thanks again.
