I bought a used Martin d28 with a John Pearce rosewood armrest that left a stain on the top very similar to what the op posted.I tried but the stain remained.

Welcome aboard. I did have one ej200sce and the changes I found to improve the sound was replacing the strings to elixir 12 53 phosphor bronze. I also changed the nut,saddle and bridge pins to bone. Those changes really helped my guitar as I hardly ever played mine plugged in. Hope this helps you.

A few months ago I had the chance to buy a used Martin d28 and I have to say this one is exceptionally in every way. It was and is a keeper for me with the quality and sound. I've tried to download a few pictures of my new to me guitar yet it never seems to work out. Sorry for the no pictures.

I also have the aj500m and installed bone bridge pins. The guitar seems to have a little better sustain with mine. Try it and I think you will like it.

Cliff am I seeing a flaw in the binding on your very nice guitar? Perhaps it's just from the angle of the photo.

I tried mediums on mine but didn't like the feel. I went with Elixir nanoweb phosphor bronze light 12-53 along with a quality bone nut,saddle and pins. Big improvement.

For me it's hands down on the aj 500m. I had the opportunity on different occasions and different stores to try at least 4 i b texan's and for me I was totally disappointed but if it sings to you go for it.
