  1. There is something odd in the body/headstock combo: this model is not for me, thanks. Please Epiphone, please: make a reissue of the Coronet as announced a few years ago, red, one P90, batwing headstock. PLEASE!!!
  2. Thanks so much for your reply! It is exactly what I thought, just was asking for confirmation. I am not a gibson expert...:-) Thanks again!
  3. Hi guys,I have just bought a second hand sg junior dating from 2000, the batwing pickguard model. One guy in another forum told me that the fingerboard can be made of richlite, I am mostly a telecaster guy so I am not expert on gibson stuff. Can someone help me clarifying this aspect? Here is the link for some pics http://www.everythingsg.com/threads/2000-sg-junior-info-needed.29594/ Thanks guys!
  4. Wow, thanks again capmaster! Now it is clear :-)
  5. Thanks capmaster! I am not sure about the intonation that is to its limits and the fact of flipping the saddles, but I am happy that it looks original. Thanks so much!
  6. Hi guys, I am a long time lurker of this forum but never jumped in. Now I need your help: in a few days I will try this guitar, I made an offer and the guy accepted. Here is the link https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/dispannonce.php?annonce=1259332 What do you think of this guitar? And secondly, can I be sure that the fingerboard is rosewood? Do I have to check something in particular? Thanks for your help. Mimmo.
  7. Hi I took a few pics but it seems that I cannot post them... BYE I am in love with this baby!
  8. Hi guys, I have been looking for a semi for a long time. I was in search of an Epi dot, hoping I would have found a nice used cherry one. Last tuesday I found an ad for a 96 riviera in limited turquoise and immediately contacted the seller. Luckily I was the first one, so I had the chance to try the guitar. The price was incredibly low, just 50 € more expensive than a new Dot so I jumped on it. I was afraid that the neck would have been as skinny as people claimed in other forums, but aHi guys, I have been looking for a semi for a long time. A nice chunky C profiled neck, maybe a little narrow but totally comfortable. This baby is in as new conditions, put .011 on and cleaned it. Humbuckers are not muddy at all and the middle position is blues heaven. Action is a little on the high side so later today I will try to set it up. Definitely a good present for my 40th b'day. 10. Here is a pic :-) hmmm...seems like I cannot attach a pic :-(
  11. Hi guys, just wanted to tell you that since my beloved dr 500mce has been signed by Pete Doherty with a nice drawing (ok ok, I can see your faces but I love this guy s music) I am going to buy a second one so I will not have to worry about "beating" it while gigging. This guitar is incredibly nice, I would buy the whole masterbilt series in a bit if I could. Cheers Mimmo.
  12. Hi guys, I have two nice epiphone electros that I would like to gig with, but I cannot find the right strap. Since the input jack is in the strap pin it is bigger than usual and it seems that I cannot find a strap that fits the large pin. My guitars are an IB 64 Texan and a masterbuilt 500 DR. Which straps do you use with these kind of guitars? Thanks a lo for your help. Mimmo.
  13. Hi guys, just an update: the guitar was in italy, and since I m actually in Paris I asked my oncle to test it for me, and yesterday ne bought it!!! Few days and the guitar will be in my hands! I e-mailed the customer service and they confirmed it is number 68 of 1962, but no clue for the Yellow sticker... Thanks all you guys for all the answers. Cheers Mimmo.

  15. Thanks all you guys for the replies, much appreciated! I wandered if the sticker would cover a 2nd or something like this, but I saw new guitars bought in shops with the COA and without the # of 1962. I think the only way to know the truth is to remove the sticker... Thx again guys! Mimmo.
  16. Thx! Yes, the seller gas the COA, but I have seen in this forum that the exact number out of 1962 is not marked in the certificate, just the serial number of the guitar. Thx for your reply, it's a good explanation, I feel better now :-) Mimmo.
  17. Hi, thanks! I m really curious abiura the Yellow sticker, hope epiphone will be able to help me: the seller claims that the guitar ca me with it!! Cheers Mimmo.
  18. Hi & thanks, my union jack should be delivered in kilt, so probably you will get yours before me: don't forget the pics! ;-)
  19. I know, can't wait to have it! P.s. ordered a union jack version too... ;-)
  20. Hi, it is a 62 reissue and the guy seems to be trust worth. I never saw such a sticker, do not know what to think... Thanks for your reply! Mimmo.
  21. Hi guys, I'm near to buy a pristine 62 sheraton, but I have some doubts about the blue label (no serial # out of 1962?) and a strange sticker behind the headstock. Your thoughts? I really like the guitar, but I do not want to do a mistake. Thanks you all. Mimmo.
  22. FWIW I saw a guy from epiphone Italy confirming it - 1000 pieces. The video is on youtube.
