  1. Depends on who you sell it to. I'd consider it a plus if shopping for a second hand guitar Others want them pure and untouched
  2. Does indeed sound fine aussie I'd be happy with that tone , you used the little Marshall to tweak the low mids and treble then I assume Funny theres a fella playing over here , acoustic blues, and he couldnt even tell me what his pickup was , he does the same thing , into a little Marshall and then to the Pa
  3. Slightly baffled by the fact that they seem to be sold with just bare wires ? Extra £50 for the pleasure of getting the end jack attached , I mean , really? Wtf
  4. If the numbers that refer to the day of manufacture , which I think is when the body and the neck are put together , perhaps it's very late in the year and then it was sprayed and finished early 2019 hence the stamp ??
  5. That's a 2018 , the 1 and the 8 in the serial number say that . Was maybe purchased 2019 but made 2018The pattern is as follows:YDDDYRRRYY is the production yearDDD is the day of the yearRRR is the factory ranking/plant designation number And I'm fairly certain that they have stopped stamping the back of the headstock in recent times
  6. Ok , never heard of it Must be an american thing
  7. Thanks guys , but maybe I didnt explain myself This is not a wear and tear issue , like a knee cartilage thing It's a sudden nip type thing , happens in an instant but hangs around , like a bruise
  8. We're here to review the guitar Not the woman
  9. So glad she doesnt keep her head out of the video shoot That's one of those C&W's that sal got isnt it ? Sounds nice https://thebluegrasssituation.com/video/sitch-sessions-caroline-spence-mint-condition/
  10. Anyone ever experience their thumb hurting , just below the knuckle on the inner side , where it would touch the fretboard when doing a thumb wrap .. Happens to me from time to time , sure if I grip too tight I could understand hurting myself , but the pain when I touch it is a little too sore .. and it stays for a couple of days Perhaps I'm nipping a little vein or something ? Thought there might be an app for it but I've looked to no avail
  11. Yeah , BK got a great tone from his m1a Heard that and commented on it I have an m1a , trying to get the tone out of it to match BK , probably need an EQ pedal ... Not so impressed with the tonedexter , well, its grand , but its price doesnt justify the sound that I've heard so far ... The m1a example was much more pleasing than the tonedexter examples and still reckon BK's spectrum aura got my favourite noise Lots of online examples of the m80 have peaked an interest in those also ... Have had a k&k in a previous guitar and liked it grand .... I know jinder rates the sunrise , and I'd listen to his opinion as hes many feathers in the cap and has tried and tested a load of variations , but again ,while its non too shabby, I've not heard an example that really sets it streets apart from any other .... A lot of it is the player for sure Chasing rainbows
  12. Do you reckon lifting the guitar off him and handing one with the rare earth blend would be much better ? Thinking about pickups, need opinions!
  13. Did you listen to the sample EA? Old BK has pulled a rabbit out of the hat I reckon. Sounds as good as a pickup gets in my opinion
  14. Is there a mic involved there at all BK ? You've got that m1a as good as they ever sound there , just wonder if theres any bleed from a mic in that recording ?
  15. Listen to Wildflowers by islandmageestu on #SoundCloud Here's a bit of Tom Sal will be better , but sure , I'm here now
  16. Dressed appropriately? 🤔🤔 I like that song , I might have a whack at it , but I'll be wearing whatever I put on that day
  17. Dont be biting my head off now BK discussion only , not an argument That sounds real nice , but £400 better ? I'm not so sure Still out on the tonedexter ... Still my favourite sound you got was the spectrum aura from a couple years ago . I'd be more inclined to give one of those a go . Still always nice to hear you play anything at all thougb
  18. My money once again is on the Jack plug I've a rattle in my car dashboard, any you guys want to guess what's causing that ?
  19. Of course looks play a part
  20. Look forward to the next song Billy
  21. This video is doing the rounds, jumped on by the many folk who feel the need to poo poo a particular brand , Gibson being a favourite target Perhaps young mark might have came across poorly as all I've read is that hes against copies and the like , but to me I just seen it as trying to extrapolate on the 'only a Gibson is good enough ' marketing plan. I dont think he did anything wrong as such , just played into the hands of the people who will twist comments to suit them , the video makes it very easy for those folk . You cant win sometimes
  22. Yeah , same results with my 45 Although I went bone saddle and nut, it came ba I like you say , same but nicer Response being the biggest difference Not like getting a different guitar or anything , very subtle but very pleasing Maybe the pickup out of the way but I've always had a notion that a saddle made to fit exactly in the slot may be the thing
