  1. I'm kind of hit and miss. Sometimes I do something and think,"Where did that come from?" Other times its pretty empty or misses the mark. Usually on the ones that come up a bit short,if I take time with it and work on it,I can come up with something I am ok with, but I guess in that case its not really improvising in the moment
  2. i think they sell it in guitar center right by the volume/tone knob cleaner lol Sorry .i couldn't resist
  3. Does any here use ableton 7 to record with? Someone gave me the line 6 gx as a X-mas gift and it comes with the line 6 pod farm, riffworks and Ableton 7.Its my first experience using computer generated software to play and record with. The amps/effects pod farm comes with is little better than I thought, but still to me has the simulated sound in it.When it comes to the riffworks or Ableton to record with,I can get the riffworks to work ,however my results are nothing spectacular. The Ableton 7,I can't figure that out at all.I guess I'm just curious if that is not the most user friendly configured program,or I am just missing something basic with it. I did my recording on a fostex cassette style multitracker until a few years ago, when I purchased a fostex digital multitracker.I was able to figure that out with ease and results are decent.I use a free version of audacity to do any final editing and convert it to an mp3. Maybe the computer stuff just isn't for me and I need to stick with the older stuff which I can figure out.
  4. Thanks Yea,I took a little break from the internet world and forums. Sometimes it just gets too dark and deep and you got to step away from it and do some talking to people instead of typing on a keyboard.I figured with the new year starting I'd come back in and have a fresh go at it.
  5. She was standing in the kitchen, preparing our usual soft-boiled eggs and toast for breakfast, wearing only the 'T' shirt that she normally slept in. As I walked in, almost awake, she turned to me and said softly," You've got to make love to me this very moment!" My eyes lit up and I thought, "I am either still dreaming or this is going to be my lucky day!" Not wanting to lose the moment, I embraced her and then gave it my all; right there on the kitchen table. Afterwards she said, "Thanks," and returned to the stove, her T-shirt still around her neck. Happy, but a little puzzled, I asked, "What was that all about?" She explained, "The egg timer's broken."
  6. Wow Just when I am searching and looking into buying a revolver too. I'd love to hear details on how this bullet entered your body, but in my opinion, you really don't want to ignore the wound.Someone qualified should look at it.If you get an infection,it can spread and be too late to do anything about it if caught too late. seriously, get it checked out.
  7. I had an opporrtunity to see one of those guitars and the aging or whatever its called looks ,to me,very poor. The body has like little white swirls in it.To me it just dis not appear to be a naturally aged guitar. The lighning bolts look cool to me.What does that guitar have in it for pickups?I have an SG Standard and I am perfectly content with it.Did few mods but its nice like it is.Its kind of cool to see the good job they can do on some of those signature guitars or replicas of certain guitars, but I want a guitar to be mine and feel like mine.I respect alot of players and have some I sort of put up on pedestals as being a person who inspires me,but I don't want a guitar I own to replicate that persons to a tee.
  8. I was taking a break. I hope everyone and all here is well.
  9. I wish everyone here a healthy and happy new year.
  10. Yea,you tube seems to have lots of that.i guess I just don't get it.I guess I just don't get why one guitar player would want to tell another one he sucks. Its just a different mindset I guess. When I go on ther ,its usually to try and learn something from the guy playing. And lots of times I can learn stuff from alot of them.Usually there is always something to learn by watching anyone else play.Sometimes it what not to do.Like you may notice a bad habit or something and make a mental note to try to not to that in your own playing.Sometimes its certain parts to a song or how someone holds a pick. Its endless.always something to learn from be it good or bad.I would think for a guy to go around with that negative attitude, and thinking hes better than everyone else,I'd think that guy would probably not be learning anything. He's too busy patting himself on the back.
  11. Just received another lovely comment on my you tube page from some guy who says,"you have alot of guitars, but can't play them perfect. Why don't you by a cheap guitar, and go from there." I never claimed to play perfect.I play mostly for myself, for fun.I'm really not trying to impress anyone. So I click on his page and he's got total crap guitars, plays way out of tune, and couple vids of him and his band trying to play a song, but it sounds like they are not all playing the same song.It terrible.I usually don't leave insults on peoples playing ot attempting to play things, but in this case,,I made an exception.I hate people like that . You tube has lots of them too.I guess I'm just venting a bit because sometimes this kind of stuff just irritates me and ask,WHY?
  12. I guess I can understand what your saying, but to me,its not that big of a deal.I'm sure with all thats going on with the economy they market how they feel they need to in order to keep $ coming in,or they will try anything to keep business a business
  13. The name of that amp sounds familiar but can't think of where I heard of it.Is that one of those small boutique tube amps?
  14. What always gets me frustrated is when you watch pros and they seem to do awsome stuff with no effort.I feel like i am struggling to play half as good. I get a kick out of alot of kids you tube videos when they are trying to do all these fancy steps and head banging and this stuff and their guitar playing is embarassing.
  15. How old are you dem00n,if you don't mind me asking?
  16. What do you mean exactly.Should I not have posted that in here?I'm not being sarcastic, just trying to understand what you meant.
  17. What do you mean"off topic"?
  18. I didn't care for what i heard of it so far
  19. Big bends nut sauce on any area where the string comes in contact may help too.An inexpensive alternative to this would be pencil lead
  20. Is it the same guage string breaking all the time ,or different ones?Could be burr on the saddle if its same one all the time.Or is it always breaking up by the tuning key? I had a problem for a while with same string breaking always. It didn't break while changing, just didn't last long and always broke where it was in contact with the saddle.A little light filing and the burr is gone and so is the string breaking
