  1. R.I.P. That's a great shame , very sorry to hear this.
  2. I saw Leo Kottke in concert at least 3 times back in the 1970s; as well as being a tremendously powerful player he was highly entertaining and amusing - I still have 8 LPs. Definitely one of the 12-string heroes. This story, about him meeting Dylan, is brilliant -
  3. "Toronto Under The Sign Of Capricorn" - Larry Coryell
  4. It would make more sense to have them on the treble side.
  5. "The Last Gunfighter Ballad" - Guy Clark
  6. I agree it's a bit weird and LPs don't usually have strings-jumping-out-of-nut problems.....but...it's modern!!
  7. I kind of agree - the sharp cutaway does look a bit odd which I think must be due to the shorter scale length. And this one is almost affordable too - though still way out of my league! However I'd be very happy with either...or both
  8. "Sweet Rain" - Stan Getz (with Chick Corea)
  9. I've never even played a Byrdland - it says the scale is 23 1/2" which is....very short. I remember playing someone's early 60s 330 which also had a shorter than normal scale, am I right?
  10. Wowweeee! (It's a Gibson Custom Shop Crimson Division Byrdland Sunburst 2012 - $11,499) https://www.themusiczoo.com/products/gibson-custom-shop-crimson-division-byrdland-sunburst-2012?goal=0_63363c100e-aee4d9fce6-263687321&mc_cid=aee4d9fce6 🎸
  11. @leftcoastmark So now I have finally seen a Gibson Custom Shop guitar for sale which has these covers - https://www.themusiczoo.com/products/gibson-custom-shop-10th-annversary-cs-356-diamond-white-sparkle-2003?goal=0_63363c100e-aee4d9fce6-263687321&mc_cid=aee4d9fce6
  12. Yup, very pricey. https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Product/1959-Humbucker-Collectors-Edition-Series-1-Exclusive/PU59DCNC2-SET Now for the blindfold tests.....
  13. I'm old school but I think the hand-wired Princeton "64" Reverb especially is a ridiculous price in the UK. Old Fender Twins go for far less than that - nobody wants big amps now. But they have much more clean headroom.
  14. Sounds like a bargain even if it needs some work.
  15. "Weird Nightmare" - Charles Mingus
  16. "Do You Dream In Colour?" - Bill Nelson
  17. "When I Was A Boy I Watched The Wolves" - Paul Kantner/Grace Slick
  18. I should think a bit sticky - a lot of citric acid in it. I have a very old bottle of thin cine projector oil (nearly finished) and I found some sewing machine oil in a £ shop which will replace it.....when/if.....
  19. "Hi - Fly" - Randy Weston; many versions....
  20. "The WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat)" - The Doors
  21. "Little House I Used To Live In" - Frank Zappa / Don 'Sugarcane' Harris
  22. Suggest you also download AUDACITY which is excellent free mastering software - and has some nifty new add-ons in the latest version. I completely trust Audacity and have never had any problem with that (or VLC Media Player).
  23. It is a Gibson ES-Artist from the late 1970s-early 80s with Moog electronics inside (which cannot be replaced or serviced these days if not working) and quite rare now. The 'SECOND' stamp no longer has any effect on the price. I am in the UK and this would be advertised now for at least £4k in very good condition, probably more. However on the guitar pictured the gold plating has worn off the pickup covers and screws, the original brass nut has been replaced and it may have been refretted (can't be sure from the pics), all of which reduces the value somewhat. I would say around $3-3.5k in the USA if it still has the original working electronics which are powered by a 9v battery (open the backplate and check it's not flat!)...but I could be way out. https://www.es-335.com/2012/07/09/es-artist/
  24. "Bluebird" - Buffalo Springfield / Stephen Stills
