  1. I noticed that the P-90 pickup on my LP Junior is pretty far from the strings. So my question is: What is the best distance between the P-90 and the strings to get the best sound ? Thanks.

    Gibson LP Junior

Thanks, knowing that it's normal, I just inserted a thin shim to bring it parallel and have to say that there's a Roland GK pickup installed on this guitar to drive a Roland VG-88 sound module and this makes it a bit more difficult to ajust the bridge.

    Gibson LP Junior

Hi, I noticed that the bridge on my Gibson Les Paul Junior (with GeForce tuner) is not at level. There is an angle (see pic) when setup is done. Is this normal ? or if not what is wrong ? Thanks.

  6. There were two pages with more replies concerning this post...where is the second one containing one of my reply? So I write it again: On my LP Jr, I replaced the bronze nut with the titanium one I received from Gibson and used some graphite, I placed the P-90 pickup a little closer and parallel to the strings (using small rubber shims) and now it stays in tune and the sound is much better. I love this guitar and after following all the instructions regarding the G Force system it tunes perfectly.
  7. I replaced the nut with the free titanium one, raised the P-90 pickup a little and place it parallel to the strings (using small rubber shims) followed all the instructions regarding the GForce tuning system and now I love the sound and playability of my 2015 Jr. that is a good companion of my US Stratocaster and my old weird Casio (always working well) MG 500.
  8. Saw this video and I'd appreciate comments about it... goes deep because it's related to headstock angle fabrication.

  10. Here's a nice video showing Greg Lake (died on Dec 7th 2016) singing: "I beleive in Father Christmas" on acoustic (Martin) with Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) on flute, David Arch on keyboards, Florian Opahle on acoustic (Gibson Sidewinder) and a church choir...and by the way best wishes to you all. ;-)
  11. I'm talking about dropping the whole guitar a full step down. DGCFAD.
  12. Thanks, do the 5th and 6th strings sound muddier wit that gauge?
  13. Hi, I'm using Martin Lifespan SP on my Songwriter and I find that singing in drop D tuning makes it easier to sing many songs but using light 11-52 (even after ajusting the neck) induce a lot of buzzing frets; so will using heavier gauge solve the problem and what gauge is the best ? Thanks.

    Amps attenuator

Thanks for these info...I've already found one on Kiijii. It will be useful only when I'll be using channel one since this channel has a gain and volume controls and give an OD sound.

    Amps attenuator

Hi, I really enjoy my new traynor YCV40WR and my Gibson Jr 2016 . The clean sound is beautiful and the channel 1 offers a really good vintage overdrive. But since I mostly use it in my studio, I can’t hardly crank the volume higher than 1 since it’s too loud. I’ve made some researches on the web about power attenuators and I’ve found that Dr Z Lite seems quite usefull and gets good reviews. But since I don’t want it to be harmfull to my new amp, I would be very gratefull to get your professional opinion about this attenuator and attenuators in general. http://www.guitarplayer.com/miscellaneous/1139/dr-z-brake-lite/11823 http://traynoramps.com/guitar/ycv/product/ycv40wr/
  16. This musician from my country fell in love with the 12 strings the fist time he tried one and he was the leader of a very popular band called "Harmonium" in Quebec. Here's one of their most popular hit. (As you can hear the sparkling sound of the Guild 12 strings.)

    Les Paul Jr 2015

"How low or high is the bridge from the body?"... The bridge is not too low nor too high...the action is super, no buzzing fret and easy to play. I can try to make some small bridge ajustments as you advise but I'd really like to replace the bridge so I can set it to get perfect intonation for each string. "As for replacements there are many out there.. Depends on how much you want to spend." What about one of these that would fit ? How to measure the saddle radius ?? http://www.graphtech...paround-bridges

    Les Paul Jr 2015

Hi, my Les Paul Jr 2015 has a fixed compensated bridge and even if I come very close , I'm not able to get perfect intonation for all strings . So I'm looking for a replacement bridge (with ajustment for each string) giving me the possibily to compensate each string to get perfect intonation. What would be the best one and where to order it. Thanks for your help.

    Les Paul Junior 2015

    Zero fret nut

Oh! thanks, maybe it would work. I would be much reassured with a hard titanium nut than a soft brass one . I sent you a private message about your offer. First time on Gibson forums that someone is ready to help me in this manner... *****

    Zero fret nut

If you mean the guitar, yes I love it but my post if about finding where to buy online a titatium zero fret nut (in case Gibson refuse to send me one) to replace the brass one on the guitar since I often alternate my tunings and that might cut little groves into the zero nut on the long run as mentionned by many owners.

    Zero fret nut

Hi, just received a Gibson Les Paul Junior 2015. I sent an Email to Gibson (after reading lot of complaints about brass zero fret nut problems) for a titanium zero nut replacement without any answer. Maybe it's because I live in Canada...But if they dont send me one , where can I buy one?...I did a search without any results. Thanks.
