  3. if some tracks are missing it will be because the audio file has no meta data ( tag info ) if the files are black it will not register the track.. find the track that's missing and check the data. the program was written by some one in the group I just collated all the best usefull programs to help others. Good luck guys Shame Gibson have no new info or updates....
  4. A Lot of users ask the same questions and I thought it best to put this all in one help file. Browsing Folders 2 options: to view folders you need to go to playlist - view playlists. 1: using the SCS4DJ system - devices - select device - create playlist from Device - yes. restart when prompted. 2: using pc. Copy playlist.Bat file to the rout directory on your mem stick & run it - put memstick in device wait until the (working icon) goes away. Then restart. A video is here to help Crashing & locking up: Tags to big to handle 1: use ID KILL to empty all the info in your tags.
  5. View Folders on the SCS4DJ video Access to my folder I have collected (I don't want to get into trouble for sharing so any advice would be great) Mp3tag 2.32 program ID3clear util Playlist batch util MP3Gain Batch gain program
  6. http://ivlaudio.com/company/aboutus.php Ive written the the developers asking for help on the scs as I hate to see pioneer bringing out there unit when stanton did it first...!!!

  8. release the code so others can add there own improvements for both quickgrid and the unit its self. been a pro dj with this unit for over 3 years It not good seeing it forgotten about by Stanton. cound do with a history playlist or most played or rating tag.. also bpms written to tags. and grid editing on quickgrid like rekord box.
  9. delete tracks from any playlist for tracks that get corrupted.. history playlist tracks in browser view the name scrolls for long titles. re analyse bpms from current cue or loop in and loop out. for long intros.. auto sync disabled when at breakdowns or low levels.. quickgrid needs updating to see the waveforms and cue points and to be able to adjust them..
  10. I dj with it to 3-4000 clubber's every month and take it on tour it always causes interest you may see me using it on the net check out DJ M-Zone you will find me.. Ive only ever had 2 glitches due to using a hard drive I dont know if it supports ssd but I may try it now I just have a bank of sticks and use whats needed for each show http://www.discogs.com/artist/30816-M-Zone https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=djmzone&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=utf8&oe=utf8&gws_rd=cr&ei=3u7HUsbEHdSS7AaQs4DgBQ#q=dj+m-zone&rls=com.microsoft:en-US
  11. actually its here http://www.ebay.it/itm/LIVE-DJ-CONTROLLER-MP3-USB-SD-4-5-JOG-WHEELS-7-DISPLAY-SCREEN-TWIN-DECK-MIXER-/350708995500 apparently its poop going by reading reviews but if they get it right it could be a good challage
  12. access to the quick grid code so other programmers can improve or take pressure off gibson team BPM: using manual loop function to find bpm.. using hot cues to re alline bpm if a track drifts later while playing. new functions. bmp by loop bmp from here (cue / hot cue) ableton has a great method to keep tracks in sync maybe we can use something similar or even use the same file info. Quick grid files should be graphical so you can see the waveform and markers and edit / move them on the pc if needed then save them. main board upgrade. the hardware of the unit has no issues so
  13. looking at the fw update seems you added a feature to revert back to original BPM I dont see the point in this so why not use the hold tap to actually re analyse from a cue point it could then be done to only those tracks that are out. 1:You could set a cue point from a down beat the hold the tap to reanalyse from that point 2:set a cue point use the dial to move a loop end curer then hold tap to re- analyse the loop. 3: in settings set a time limit 10 30 1 min to analyse from cue point 4: use loop in out to set analyse tempo just some idea's
  14. I think this part of the unit is what lets it down the most maybe a simpler version of Rekordbox would be great Id even contribute to this as long as you include some bulk volume editing like mp3gain into the software Im sure if Stanton release the code for the program some one will write an update???? or even if you can set a cue point the with the jog wheel move the markers so they line up then save as new bmp or use loop function to set 8,16,32 bar markers to adjust bpm and save loop bpm
  15. can we have a copy function in util to copy files from a stick to a drive in the bay EG: copy mp3's from Drive? to Drive? Y/N in beat grid could we have a volume edit that stores a gain level in the database? wave form view could be like on a mac menu only the 8 beats coming are zoomed the rest of the track is the full wave view bit like zooOOOooom. or a simplified representation like on the pioneer 1000's where the time line is that way we can see the intro's breakdowns gaps etc... high lighted tracks already played in playlist. Oh and if you do make a scs5dj puts some lights on it
  16. notice not many members on here yet hope that we have firmware news for the scs4???
