btw watch out you don’t have the pickup selector in the middle position
both volume controls effect volume of guitar
yes!
THIS!
In the middle position this will "blend" both pickups with the volume (and tone overall tone setting) favoring the pickup that is not being turned down.
Before doing anything just test each volume pot separately (Neck/Bridge) with the switch either on Neck OR on Bridge setting. Never test in the middle, it will do exactly what you are describing and that is exactly correct and how they are wired.

Hi everyone,
There is a thread posted here some time ago regarding fixing a curling pickguard.
It had a really good write up on making sure the pickguard stayed flat via heating the material and putting it between two large books.
I'm fixing my J200 and before I reapply the adhesive and put it back on, I plan to do this heating and book trick.
I'd like to review that, but I can't find the post. Anyone have a linky?

It's funny in a way;
I can't name a single Grateful Dead song.
And I also can't name a single Taylor Swift song.
So if I listen to her Workingman's Dead tribute album, will that be like crossing the streams in the Ghostbusters movie?
Would the world end??
😐can't name a single Taylor Swift song.
you don't have grandkids do you??
ah well then
perhaps just "Shake it off..."

Those little chipped areas where the slots are, he may be right. No expert here, but I am not at all sure that Corian would erode and chip away like that.

You have to wonder: Why was the truss rod overtightened in the first place?
My hunch is cock pit error.
Letting some people loose on a guitar with tools can sometimes lead to unpleasant results.

would not really bug me if the price reflected that and of course, done right
it does look like the repair job was solid
I think the ballpark on repaired neck is 50% from what it would be without the break
not sure if that's fair but that seems to be the going rate.

This is one of the big draw backs with buying online. Gibson necks are a bit unpredictable.

Some of my wife's favorite concerts with me were Rush shows. She never had to wait in line for the ladies room.
Many players are great, but there is no best.
No one can quantify who is the best. . . but he played with his teeth, and behind his back. Just B S showmanship.
they are hands down, at the very the top of my list. I wouldn't say my life wouldn't be the same with out all those years since the second album, but, ya it probably wouldn't be.
(as a guitarist Anway)
the only tour I missed was I think Vapor Trails

people get way too hung up on that question.
I was at new years eve party, and someone had asked me if I was still playing and of course, "yes"
another person listening in on that conversation proceeded to ask who I thought was
the best drummer,
bass player,
guitar player,
Band
-- twas easy
1: Neil Peart
2: Geddy Lee
3: Alex Lifeson
4: Rush
I already knew he hated Rush,
Thankfully that ended the conversation right there!
There is no BEST, there's just GREATNESS and it's a legion of players strong.

for in home use the Fender is a good choice
if the plan is to do some solo gigging, you'd probably favor the Fishman Loudbox Artist.
IMHO the fender on board effects I like better.

So you can get a good tone with an electric guitar amp/cab sim and FRFR speaker?
I usually play electrics, but I just got a J-45 with the LR Baggs Element, and I thought I’d have to get an acoustic amp.
Maybe I can use my Universal Audio Dream ‘65 and FRFR speaker.
LR Baggs are decent sounding pickups.
I have a Loudbox Artits and the Fender Acoustasonic JR.
They both are pretty good acoustic amps.

That's really a shame.
How many people will purchase one of these, and not even realize it till much later.
Every time I go to a GC these days, I'm reminded why I will never buy another guitar from them.
Last time was well over 20 years ago, when you still had half a chance.

thanks guys!
I didn't miss too many tours Sarge.
S & A was a cool concert. We pulled about 25/30 ppl together, hired out a bus to get into town and rented one of the luxury boxes at TD Garden.
The Guild sounds fine, and we'll give you a pass on the Rush artwork.
ha! That stuff has been there so long I kinda forgot it was there -- till I watched the video. yea.. - Fan boy much? I'll fall on my sword at some point.
