  1. Professorbx 'u live?

  2. Crossfader is user replaceable. Crossfader is not replaceable with an Innofader-not enough room and no innobender kit made. Crossfader can be "credit card modded" (cut a piece of credit card and glue it to the end stops to lessen the dead space).
  3. Penguin has moved on. So have I. There are people there on both teams. There was an update. I have it. It is dope. Right now it is on those involved if they want to put it out.
  4. No impact at all. The issue isn't speed of streaming audio, it is read/write latency and caching the library. In theory, USB1.1 wouldn't have been much slower.
  5. Its not low level. I don't know what the holdup is-I had a near complete version when I left. My entire last couple months was based around making this great, designing features with Penguin and doing a complete re-think of how the unit operated. The features in it are frankly closer to what you would see in newer versions of major DJ software, from the standpoint of things like beat grid engine, effects, and "slip" style features. Actually, comparing it to that is sort of a strange thing, it is time-related but way more powerful. It will frankly probably be rather polarizing but the people who like it will love it.
  6. 1. Export the iTunes playlist to your thumb drive as a .M3u file. 2. Put the songs on said iTunes playlist on your drive. If you have them in folders, then put the playlist in the ROOT of your thumb drive (that is, don't put them into a folder). 3. DJ
  7. God.....I think it was 1 hour even, but it has been a while.....
  8. The TorqX drives really worked well for me, as well as the various Samsung 840 SSD drives I have tried. The PNY drives have a weird controller-their read/write speed is sort of bottlenecked and I have never been able to figure out the root cause. The Samsung 840 sort of hits the sweet spot formerly occupied by the TorqX drives as far as speed and cost-I would go that route.
  9. Hi Drew,

I seem to recall in a post some time ago you mentioned that you use both an SSD drive and a Patriot Rage USB drive with your SCS4DJ (?).

I have a 32gb Patriot drive with with my SCS, and it performs well, but as I have several thousand songs on there it takes the unit nearly 5 minutes to boot up. Plus navigating menus can still be sluggish. I have a fear that the ...

  10. Its not a bug. The VU is pre-fader post gain.
  11. I actually just let out a chuckle. Are you stalking anyone at the company?
  12. No. Million freaking times no. The problem is that 98% of users suck at beta testing. They can't file a report properly, or don't understand something and flood the bug report list with things they think are bugs but are user error. Again, no.

  14. Install 3.0 and up. You can dial in the BPM. It adjusts the grid. This was a request from 2.0 and before.
