  1. I like a blend of both, myself.
  2. Well, it was an interesting night. I didn't win. :0) 9 players from 5 different states. 2 local players. 1 Les Paul (my R9). I didn't have an 'on' night...I was cold when I went up to play, and my volume could have been louder. Two players really stood out, one guy from Springfield, MO had it going on...superb player. Another guy from STL played some great ALbert King/Clapton stuff. When they announced the winner, my wife and I looked at each other with a WTF? look...the judges voted for one of the local players. The guy could play, but he played himself into corners, and
  3. District finals are on Wednesday, 30 Sept. For me it's at Overland Park, Kansas. Been practicing a lot, almost ready. :0) BB
  4. Everyone has their own take on 'The Blues'...I think it was BB King that said '...the blues is just a good man feelin' bad...' I love listening to all styles, but I prefer playing blues that rocks a bit more. I wrote this after Les Paul passed, and was thinking about th
  5. Woodstock, or the El Mocambo club in '86 when SRV was there... BB
  6. I'm still waiting to see what kind of locking trem they are putting on it. Those are big holes... I guess it's time for F***** to start making single-cut guitars... lol BB
  7. I put a piece of black cloth tape on the slug side of the pickup to stop microphonics after the covers are reinstalled. Works for me. I've never been a fan of wax or silicone-dipped pickups. BB
  8. I'd rather see the LP Custom that Jimi played, or the SG LP he played. Seeing Gibson making a guitar that looks like a Super-Str@t is kinda weird. BB
  9. Agreed. I looked the dude up on Google, and he does play...recently played some steel guitar on some Steve Vai recordings. I got nothing from his KOTB performance though...lot of crazy jumping around...both on stage and on the fretboard. BB
  10. http://www2.gibson.com/News-Lifestyle/Blogs/Gibson-USA.aspx What do you guys think? BB
