  1. Thats where Id start,,tighten the truss a bit,,let it set for awhile and see what it does.
  2. Hi all,,sometimes its fun to do remixes of songs,,here adding some vocal and using the Epiphone G-310 SG. Great little guitar.
  3. Well then,,its a bit crisp of the night air in these parts,,fall is near. Got to doing some remixes this week,,adding some acoustic work to some. Heres "Retro"
  4. Hey all,,just put new strings on this,,it really jumps. I gotta get a Muse SG soon,,with a Floyd on it. Adding some lead stuff here after doing all the other tracks. Fun little tune.
  5. Well hello there folks,,just a recent tune I pieced together over the past few days,,gear: 84 Kramer Stryker w/PAF in bridge,,Seymour Duncans in the rest. Here adding some slidebar sections after building the Rhythm tracks{ Vocals,,Bass,,Gtrs} Digitech processors,,SureSM57 mics,,Tascam 2488neo 24 trk. Epi G-310 SG for Rhythm Trks. Rock On!
  6. I cant count how many clubs Ive played where the barowner comes up after a few tunes and asks for us to "turn it down". I like Elec drums for both live and recording,,its alot easier to apply effects as well in the overall mix.
  7. Why thank you sir,,youve got some great stuff here also. Im always lookin for used Epi's,,with a bit of setup they can be made to work really well. Keep Rockin!
  8. A Fusion type tune using a G-310 SG that I got off Craigslist for 140$. It was red when I got it,,but took it apart,,used Zip-strip aircraft paint remover to get paint down to wood,,and just sanded it for a few days and covered it w/about 5 coats of Linseed Oil. Smooth as silk now. And the pickups are really nice.
  9. The Bottom surface of blade is flat,,90 degrees relationship to the drive shaft. facing down to the ground. The top surface has an angle ,,not sure what degree of angle,,but if you look close at it,,youll see the angle Im referencing . And all that needs to be done is,,making both "angles" flat tword each other. Doesnt matter how you do it,,,dremmel,,,bench grinder,,or just a flat file. It takes much longer using the flat file. Again,,Im not at all claiming this to be the "Best" way to do this. Its just "One Way" of doing it.
  10. The vid wasnt meant to be "the best way to do it" vid. Its One way of doing it,,thats all. And its probably better you didnt hear me..lol . I wasnt really saying anything important anyways. Im trilled you enjoyed the vid.
  11. "Best" is subjective. And I enjoy being a village idiot. Thrilled you enjoyed the vid and learned something from it. Im so skilled,,Im making a space shuttle out of popsicle sticks. And a new vid on how to wash a Zebra properly.
  12. Bench grinder works,,but so does this. And its how I like to do it,,and thats all that matters.
  13. Just a rock song lyric idea? UUMMM,,not so much. {kidding of course} A recent garage project,,,,seeing as its getting to mowing season,,a quick vid on how to sharpen mower blades. WARNING : CONTAINS METAL TO METAL CONTACT,,SPARKS FLYING THAT WILL SCARE YOUR CAT,,AND NOISE THAT WILL DRIVE ALL THE FIELD MICE FROM YOUR YARD. LADIES AND GENTLEMAN,,I PRESENT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,SHARP MOWERBLADE TOUR 2023!!!!
  14. please wake me up when its over
  15. Why thank you sir,,enjoy your work as well. The "tone" on this Kramer is due to a 1970's PAF in the bridge,,and Seymour Duncans in the other spots. Ive had this axe for close to 27 years,,and wouldnt trade it for anything.
  16. Stu Mac supply has most guitar work tools and supplies,,my brother builds guitars and he has many fret dressing / leveling tools and the like,,and with a bit of motivation and some Youtube vids on fret work I bet you could do it yourself! I do most all my fret work,,aside from actually installing in the neck. One way of "seeing" what your neck is doing is to , "sightline" from the back of guitar,,hold the gtr flat{ string side up} And look from behind the bridge looking tword the peghead,,and look at the relationship between the straight line of the strings ,,compared to what the fingerboard edges are,,. You can see if your neck is twisted,,bowed, sometimes you can see some frets are just a bit higher or lower than others,,,or may just need a truss rod adjustment. Ive fixed alot of fret buzzing/action problems just by doing a truss rod adjust. And as far as how close the PU's are to strings,,I like mine as close as possible,,but not the strings making contact to them while playing,,and thats all I need for what I do.
  17. Maybe a "fret leveling" job maybe in order,,as far as height,,it depends on how aggressive you play,,you dont want the strings to hit the PU's while playing,,but at the same time you want them as close to the strings as possible,,so its a balancing act of sorts
  18. Awsome SG,,Id like to get the Blueberry Muse SG w/black hardware and a Floyd rose on it,,Ill have to save up for that one.
  19. Love the inlay work on those,,great score on that one
  20. Not sure about this one,,looks cool though,,BTW you may want to add that 4th neck screw
