  1. I have a soundcloud - I have no idea how many listens I have but I bet its a fraction of that! You play very well amigo. Kudos.
  2. Thanks guys. Busy week - hard to check in!
  3. Thanks Dan... this is a SJTV with hide glue throughout - even on the bracing. Don't know that I would know the difference though...
  4. Ha! I'll have to figure out what I did wrong when i switched the filter to take out the color... Maybe the 5 second version video can become the new internet meme - like the chubby kid with the light sabre
  5. Hope you like! Ok I removed the first 5 second video...... Try this one ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hsv4Ixhrvxg
  6. Gorgeous. Dropped D? Or open? Really nice.
  7. BBG, I played a used one in Los Angeles about a year ago and was not impressed. I can say however that I am very impressed with some of the new Epi offerings. I had an AJ500R which I gave to my oldest son last year, and I finally got a nice AJ500M which I like. But even putting Masterbilts aside, I think the AJ220S, the IB64 Texan, the EJ160 and the Hummingbird Pro are really nice guitars, and they are pretty inexpensive for what you get. Blueridge also makes a Gospel Gibby-esque model that I played in the same visit... it was a nice guitar as well. Actually if I needed to firesale my musical equiptment for financial reasons, and needed to have just one cheap guitar that played well, it would be one of those new Epis.
  8. Thx DD. you told me this before I think and I forgot. I will try to make those changes, and I appreciate your taking the time...
  9. Guys I started playing around with an original tune a few months back. It's kind of a song about being in a funk and wanting to get out of it, and trying to hide it from others. I would really appreciate your critique and suggestions to make it better? I normally do covers and I want to try to get away from that. https://soundcloud.com/sal-from-chatham/pick-me-up
  10. Thanks duluthdan for alerting me to the latest content here...
  11. That is high. Mine is 7/64. A good setup will find the right mix of neck relief/angle and saddle height. Very worth it. The right setup will mean the difference between your living your guitar and hating it.
  12. RIP to your buddy Murph. This has been a tough year.
  13. Murph. You are the man. When are we going to see you let it rip again?
  14. Jerry - I love the second version. You play so well. Love that guitar.
  15. THis is a Dylan song, but covered ala Bromberg... It Takes a Lot to Laugh It Takes a Train to Cry https://soundcloud.com/sal-from-chatham/it-takes-a-lot-to-laugh-it
  16. Nothing to say except I loved it. Please keep em coming.
  17. I have a Yamaha FS720S inexpensive guitar that I keep at work. For a $250 guitar it is really nice. Perfect fit and finish. Perfect intonation even as you capo up the neck. And while not complex in tone, it actually might be a near perfect recording guitar. I think Yamaha is very under-rated, especially at their lower price points. Sadly, my singing and playing is not under-rated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=097KABh3JOw
  18. E Minor7 - Crazy good recording quality - but that's not surprising with that mic. Guitar tone is superb and your voice is great.
  19. I didnt want to step on toes down in the main forum... How you doing? Dug your Ryan Adams piece.
  20. This is a cover of a Wilco song - Born Alone. It has some cajon, basee, acoustic, electric and two vocal tracks. Hope you guys like it. https://soundcloud.com/sal-from-chatham/born-alone All criticism/comments welcome...
  21. Stunning... In awe. I second Dan's sentiment in that I wish I knew your language.
  22. I just fitted a Colosi bone saddle and pins on my J-50 Modern Classic. I think it sounds different? Maybe a tad better? Hard to say! It goes to show you I think some folks can hear a more pronounced difference than others. I also changed strings to Pearse PB Lights, so to be fair I am having trouble isolating the differences attrubuted to the saddle vs. the strings. It had Lifespan Lights on prior.
