  1. That is correct. I was cosmetically addressing a broken headstock to hide the repair so that is wouldn't look like Edwards Scissor Hands, which required re-paint / stain and laying down 12 coats of Nitro lacquer to the front of the headstock and an isolated are to the back of the headstock.
  2. The one feature I didn't notice and why I didn't is the plank has 24 frets.... That's pretty bad that I didn't notice this detail until I played the thing. The geetar has a wide array of tones and I'm pretty impressed with the pickups. It is a heavy sucker and no neck dive.
  3. It arrived and after some intonation adjustment the guitar tunes well. the guitar doesn't have fretboard separation it just paint peel, and it's completely stock even the case. to my surprise the fretboard is ebony
  4. I'm leaning toward using the spirits for lubricity rather than water and dish soap liquid. What are your experiences.
  5. My L6S is arriving at the Glendora GC for pick up today with my new VOX mini 50 watt bass amp (to create more room in the Jimi Hendrix Room. And the Roland PM-200 180-watt 1x12 inch Personal Drum Monitor. The drummer was complaining he couldn't hear himself because the drums were patched into the PA. So he will no longer be patched into the PA and the monitor will be his only sound source which is good IMO.
  6. Well 12 years later I have one.... I get an F- for quoting myself
  7. I like what I like..... you like what you like. Hardly you or anyone else is the final word on what a pizza should be. Never been Chucky Cheese and never been to Taco Bell (another one of your blind assumptions)...... ... But I do love Round Table Pizza... To me it's better than any floppy overly greasy New York Pizza I have ever tried. As for jalapenos, I have never seen a playbook that states this particular "fruit" only "go on Mexican food." As for New Jersey, never heard anything about their Pizza greatness (if that's what you were eluding to). Sorry for saying the dish that you cooked and posted looked awful, but I wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot fork.... no offense.šŸ™‚
  8. A "cheese only" pizza is absolutely gross. Might as well make a crappy grilled cheese sandwich and add hot ketchup. Meat Lovers Pizza with JalapeƱos and olives.... Now that's a real pizza
  9. Doesn't the sauce come from a tomato???? Which is considered a "fruit."
  10. EVH took piano lessons so he knew how to read music. Ringo knew how to read music, but the others didn't have any formal music training, but playing in a rock band you really don't need to.
  11. I can read music like a book, but tablature for me is like watching an octopus trying to put on socks.
  12. The reason the price was good there's a slight fret board separation from the neck at the 1st and 2nd fret. GC sent me images and its an easy fix for me.
  13. I've been wanting one of these forever and finding a black one with a rosewood fingerboard with everything working has been tough. But I found this sucker for $850. A good buffing should brighten the ol girl up. Depending how the frets looks and feel that may be the only upgrade. And I will do that myself.
  14. I just wont go near those two items for whatever reason. The ketchup deal was a result of a 2nd grade field trip to the Hunts Tomatoe factory and we got a tour of where they made ketchup, and what they did to those poor tomatoes was just unspeakable. I had reoccurring nightmares for about a year after. lol... Never touched ketchup after that.
  15. Grilled cheese and macaroni and cheese just sounds gross to me. I have never tried either one. My mom always had to make me something different on those days.... And I won't go near ketchup.
  16. Very cool!!! I completed my Rocky build as well last year.
  17. Now to try and fade a section of the guitar with a 150 watt UVA-UVB Mercury bulb in hopes it will fade the finish. I have 12 more days until the headstock nitrocellulose cures. It's under the lamp 4-6 hours each day.
  18. Quieres saber informaciĆ³n sobre tu guitarra?
  19. Coat 6 of Nitro clear gloss applied.... So far so good.
  20. Definitely a Gibson LPC with a custom made "Recording" control plate. Looks like someone may have added the abalone, or it could have a been custom made one-off. Gibson did use abalone fret markers and on the headstock on early 70's L5S But the guitar is a Gibson for sure.
  21. Well you can't blame the players.... If I was making $15 mil a year I don't think I would want to jeopardize my career with a exposition game.
