  1. Hey guys! Well here is #821, finally, with my Bigsby B7 and Wilkinson locking roller bridge. I've also added locking Grover tuners, had the nut and frets dressed and yikes, what a player! It stays in tune extremely well and is now my go-to axe for just about anything. I trust you're all enjoying yours as well!
  2. Hey guys, should we get a list going with our City locations and guitar #'s from this limited run just to see where these guitars have found homes? Just a thought.
  3. Go get 'er Yogi! Well mine finally arrived, #821, 2 days after hernia surgery so my time with her has been limited but what a beaut. The Cherry finish was not scraped very well from the headstock binding but hey, I've seen much worse on Gibby's. The neck is 2 mm wider at the 12th fret than my Valensi Riviera and overall a bit thinner from front to back too but still is a great neck. I will likely add my Gold Bigsby B7 with a good roller bridge. Any thoughts on which choices are out there for a Nashville style roller bridge with a 12" radius? Can't seen to attach this picture straight, grrrr!
  4. Awe dude that is SO sweet! I'll bet you're gushing. :-) The tailpiece looks brushed vs. woodish as seen in original pics, I like it better. Does the case shut ok with the arm folded back? I ordered mine with the Frequensator tailpiece but now I'm thinking, hmmm....?
  5. Sweet! I'm waiting for my call from Long & McQuade to make my day too! These are already unavailable at some retailers and we're just receiving ours now. Good thing we ordered when we did! Seems like most of us ordered the Cherry...
  6. Please! We'd love to see it. Have you considered the Chet Atkins arm, as it allows the arm to hover over the strings (like a Strat) vs. the flat arm which prevents that.
  7. Hey gents, while waiting for my Cherry Sherry to arrive, I've removed the Gold Bigsby B7 from my LP Custom, (it was too close to the pots to be comfortable) and was thinking how nice it might look on the Sheraton. Thought 1, would it be irresponsible of me to mod a Ltd. edition guitar when I have no plans to sell it and.., 2, has anyone used a Chet Atkins wire arm with their Bigsby on a semi acoustic? Thanks!
  8. My Cherry is on it's way to me from Long & McQuades' head office in Toronto and should be here in Vancouver late this week or early next. Can't wait! Glad I ordered when I did as it seems eveyones' sold out of the Cherry.
  9. Great to see these things hitting the streets. Send your thoughts on her!
  10. Excellent to hear! I'm waiting 2-3 months for my Cherry non-trem model but have heard nothing but praise for these guitars so I'm happy to wait.
  11. Very cool info Red, thanks so much and I'm ordering that 335 book too!
  12. It shortens the functional length of the inner strings allowing a more accurate pitch as you change chords say from an open E to a D chord for example. It really does work. http://www.earvana.com/products.htm Their drop-in shelf nut is what i'd put on the Sheraton but my LPC has the older style stepped look to it, still very functional though.
  13. I have one on my Bigsby equipped LP Custom and it's quite remarkable.
  14. Does the Tusq have benefits over bone? Had you considered a drop-in Earvana compensated nut?
  15. Hey Kingman, may I ask what you chose for the replacement nut & bridge?
  16. I'm waiting for mine! I've taken the plunge and ordered the Cherry with no trem. I'm hedging my bets that it will be of fine quality as the other Epi's I have - a LP Custom (Chinese made) and a Valensi Riviera (Korean) are fantastic quality. I see that Sweetwater already has them in stock but have ordered mine from a local shop on special order. This is a serious GAS machine and could not help myself. Even my wife is OK with it so why not?!
