  1. I remember, Thundergod. From Ecuador. He was cool. Those were some tumultuous times on the forum.
  2. I did not buy it. I wish I could afford it. $1,000.00 is a little too steep for my budget at this time.
  3. Nothing wrong with that. Triviums Matt Heafy uses epiphone on tour.
  4. SUPER-FUZZ!!! Ha!!! Found an original '70s Univox Super-Fuzz for sale here in California. Andy will handle the demo. There's a bunch of new ones on the market made by different companies. But there's something about an original.
  5. Scott Gorham Brian Robertson Thin Lizzy
  6. Thank you Jim. So good to see you this year!!! Really enjoyed our time together. It was great hanging out with ya'.
  7. Well thanks for the compliments fellows. You know Jaxson50 got to drive it one day in Boise. I think he approved too.😎
  8. I wanted to clarify that this was taken on the night I got this guitar. It needed a new set up. Just look at the bridge height. Anyway, it sure looked good under the soft light. 2015 American Deluxe Stratocaster. Love this guitar.
  9. I just love the wide array of tonal textures I can conjure up. Like many guitarists, I own some pedals. I like what they do and I'm glad I own the ones I have. But keeping them in multiple boxes has become a hassle and I long to put a board together. And so it begins. I've decided to buy a Mono aluminum board. One that isn't too small and one that isn't too large. The Strymon power supplies intrigue me. The ability to plug in negative or positive center point power supplies is a plus and a must as two of my pedals are negative center point. It also has an option for nine volt or 18 volts. So wish me luck as I begin this new journey in my guitar playing.
  10. It has an original 289 engine. It's been rebuilt and bored .40 over, but it's been completely rebuilt. New front end. New gas tank. Air conditioning blows cold and the AM radio works loud and clear. Drive 'em if you got 'em.
  11. I've finally got my '68 Mustang back in California after having a lot of work done on it in Idaho. While it isn't perfect, no you can see I have to replace the Mustang badges on it and do a couple of other minor repairs, it is drivable and a lot of fun to drive.
  12. An elderly Italian man lived alone in New Jersey. He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but found it difficult work since the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison for Mafia activities. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:Dear Vincent,I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.Love, PapaA few days later he received a letter from his son.Dear Pop,Don’t dig up that garden. That’s where the bodies are buried.Love,VinnieAt 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son.Dear Pop,Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That’s the best I could do under the circumstances.Love you,Vinnie
  13. Some people stick to a certain formula for a signal chain. I'm not referring to an effects loop at the back end (output section) of an amp. I'm referring to a straight signal path from guitar to an amps front end. Typically when I have it all plugged in, I go wah, tuner, overdrive, distortion, fuzz and octa-fuzz, flanger, tremolo, analog delay. I have recently started using a midrange boost right before the overdrive but I'm still experimenting with it's location. I don't use envelope filters or compressors. One unexpected twist I discovered that I like is when I put a wah pedal after a fuzz pedal. I heard Steve Vai will put a delay at the beginning of his signal chain. Anybody got any other interesting combinations you like?
  14. We do basil and oregano along with the mint. The guava trees are almost there. Over the next month we will be eating a lot of strawberry and pineapple guava. Might even make some jelly out of it.
  15. Love the fig jam. So far this season the tomatoes have been great, cucumbers, zucchini, green beens have all been terrific. Waiting on some late season melons and chili peppers. Processed roughly five pounds of mint tea earlier this season. That stuff is good and good for you.
  16. An Engineer dies.. and goes to Hell. Dissatisfied with the level of comfort, he starts designing and building improvements. After a while, Hell has air conditioning, flush toilets and escalators. The engineer is a pretty popular guy. One day God calls and asks Satan, "So, how's it going down there?" Satan says, "Hey things are going great. We've got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and there's no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next." God is horrified. "What? You've got an engineer? That's a mistake - he should never have gone down there! You know all engineers go to Heaven. Send him up here! " Satan says, "No way. I like having an engineer on the staff. I'm keeping him." God says, "Send him back up here or I'll sue." "Yeah, right," Satan laughs, "and where are you going to get a lawyer?"
