  1. So cool. My first NAMM Show was probably 1988 in Anaheim.
  2. Thank you. I’ll give it a try.
  3. Yeah, Matteo can play. Many in the guitar community are starting to say he's the best. That's a big statement for a kid not even 30. He had an audience every time he played. I was fortunate enough to catch him away just checking out the the vendors at NAMM. He's very blessed.
  4. So I have an IMGUR account. I used to know how to do this quite well. Now, not so good. How do I post photos here. I'm lost. And before you refer me to the sticky on the first page, I've already been there. Results, no bueno. Help me out please.
  5. I've used the Fulltone OCD overdrive for some time now. I saw that Mike and Brad (Jackson Audio) had made a batch of OCD Ge pedals and have been wanting to pick one up. So I did. Fulltone had a special if you buy an OCD pedal, you get a free shirt. You don't have to twist my arm, so I ordered one. The Ge stands for germanium, as in germanium diodes. I've been A/B'n the two and there is a slight difference. The OCD V1 is a bit brighter in the midrange, where as the OCD Ge is slightly darker in the lower mids. I can certainly hear the difference. Anyway, I got the pedal and I like it. That's what counts. A good, quality overdrive that suits my taste.
  6. I've seen Trout quite a few times in concert. He's signed albums and the such for me in the past. This is a very good album. Walter never disappoints. This last show I was able to get his set list. Broken is in the key of A minor. It's interesting because all of the songs on the set list had the key they were performed in. I thought that was cool. Walter still uses his Mesa Boogie MK IV with no pedals. He plugs straight into the amp.
  7. Fulltone is back in business. Before you start whining about micro aggressions and sniveling about Mike Fuller I just want to say I don’t give a hoot about your wokeass opinion. These pedals are some of the best I’ve ever played. They do exactly what they are supposed to do and the build quality is top shelf. if you use Fulltone pedals, what’s your favorite? I have three, no four, that I love the most: OCD Deja Vibe ’69 Slight Return classic fuzz face Rangemaster Treble boost
  8. I went. Spent four days there. I had a great time. Saw lots of amazing guitarists and other musicians. Met some pedal builders too. Since that was what I was looking for, I got to try a lot of different pedals. Met Matteo Mancuso also. Talk about an amazing guitarist. Check out these videos. Be sure and watch his right hand technique. Simply out of this world.
  9. BB King. Literally, it's all about BB's technique and the BB Box. I bought nine BB King Albums this week. It's all I want to here. If I'm not listening to them, I'm watching on YouTube. Doing a very deep dive into the Kings music.
  10. I think a lot of these tragic instances you all are describing are always up to interpretation, especially when the narrative is to someone's advantage. It is a shame that someone's poor choices lead to such tragic outcomes, but what is even worse is when people start spouting off about racial, economic, social, political, religious, and environmental justice because it fits their narrative.
  11. D'Addario strings for me. I like the wound G on the 10.5s on my ES-175. On my telecasters 10s are great.
  12. It's not a Fender Tele. It does say, "Tele Style" guitar.
  13. If Prince were still alive, he’d buy it. probably have a matching outfit made to go along with the guitar.
  14. Do you have a link just go Craigslist Orange County and type in speed shop Stratocaster. Here you go Bill. https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/msg/d/placentia-fender-so-cal-speed-shop/7469270870.html
  15. It’s on Craigslist in So Cal. somebody’s going to get a real cool guitar. If it plays as good as it looks, winner, winner.
  16. Talk about a sexy guitar. This is freaking cool looking. Not sure how practical it would be. But if you're a lead guitar player, it definitely makes a statement.
  17. Yeah that 2011 is a looker. At six pounds and six ounces, that's pretty light. I think I might be able to play it Saturday. I'll let you know what I think soon enough, but it might not happen till Monday.
  18. Thinking about a Les Paul Special Double Cut from the Custom Shop. Anybody have any knowledge about such things? I would appreciate it. Sonically speaking, I haven't had a chance to plug one in but there's two I can get my hands on to try out. The 2018 is 7.1 pounds, while the 2011 is 6.6 pounds 2018 in Oxblood 2011 in faded tv yellow
  19. I don't know about the notifications because I get the ones at the top of the page indicating how many people responded to something I wrote, but I can no longer log in using my Safari browser. I know it's an older version and hasn't been updated, but not being able to log in has presented some frustration. I now have to use Google Chrome.
  20. I only smoke when I drink bad oil.
  21. What do think about the Grammys? Not sure about whether or not I'm a fan. Sometimes they surprise me. Other times they totally let me down.
  22. Those are from 2018-19. They're technically both nearly identical. Custom Bucker Pickups and it does appear one has a more figured top. Seen a few on the interwebs and I like the color. Check out this video from Gear4music for the 58 cherry burst.
