Only just now watched the trailer. Is the bald dude Vader? Or Lord Insidious Sid Vicious, or whatever his name was?

That’s the head Inquisitor. They hunt down the last of the Jedi. I believe that character was depicted in the animated Star Wars Rebels show.

  2. This looks like it might be good.

Regarding their last show, it’s a shame they didn’t seem to understand the ruthlessly efficient bounty hunter before trying to make a show about him. They gave up part way through and switched to focusing on the Mandalorian for a couple episodes. The one time in the series where Boba actually acted like Boba Fett was when he took Slave 1 out over the desert and wiped out the bikers. No honor, no sport, just wiped them out with superior firepower.

  3. My guitar with the best sustain is my Slash Les Paul Standard, which has the thick 50's style neck and no weight relief. That said, I've seen enough variation in guitars that I'd never make the assumption that a heavier guitar will automatically have more sustain than a lighter one. There may be "some" correlation but I think there are probably too many other variables at play.

  4. I tried both a couple years ago and ended up getting the Standard 61. I thought both were great but I preferred the tone of the 61, probably due to different electronics. Aside from the 61 having the smaller pick guard, here are the differences I recall...

    1. 61 Standard neck joint is closer to the body and the neck felt thinner. The standard neck is thicker (still felt like a thin neck) and neck heel starts earlier.
    2. 61 has burst bucker 61 pickups and the control cavity is hand wired. Overall I felt the 61 sounded like it had a wider tone (deeper lows, more articulate high end, less mids) than the Standard. I think the Standard has the same pickups as most of the LP Studios and the components in the control cavity were mounted on the PC board.
    3. 61 has a hard shell case, the Standard has a gig bag. It's a very nice gig bag though.
    4. 61 has vintage style tuners, the Standard has Grovers.
    5. 61 only came in cherry, the Standard is available in more colors (a darker red, ebony, etc)
    6. At the time, the 61 was $300 more than the Standard, the tremolo versions (sideways or maestro) were $500 more than the Standard.
  5. It really depends. If you know you intend to sell it in the future then resale value is a concern.

if you intend to keep it then resale is irrelevant and you ought to do whatever you want to make it more inspiring to you.

  6. I'd ask for a Les Paul with additional contouring for the forearm or a belly cut, essentially I don't want any corners. I'd also want stainless steel frets and locking tuners. Finish would be black, ebony fretboard with no inlays (side dots only), silver hardware.
