  1. the new plastics came in along with new reflector top hats, along with some new knob pointers.. I've got a pickguard for it but I can't bring myself to drill holes in the LP to mount it.. let me know what you think..
  2. 1991 Les Paul Studio Lite, loaded with Classic 57/57+, 50's wiring and vintage tone caps. she's a tone monster and only 8lbs..
  3. I'm running some Vintage Astron .027 caps..
  4. came stock with the 496R/500T which to me sounded very thin and like scratching a chalk board.. these are silky smooth and have all the bite you could ever want..
  5. new pickups in my Studio today, she's a keeper, man talk about milky tone..
  6. got my classic 57's put in, man the guitar sounds completely different.. they will pry this from my cold dead hands before I ever sell or get rid of it..
  7. I've got Schallers on all my guitars, I won't use anything else..
  8. I'd rather just trade mine for another studio or faded..
  9. very much so, with the pickups it has a bite that will cut thru anything, notes are distinctive and articulate and well defined and it gives this higher pinch harmonic range that I'd not seen in other LP's I think I'm going to trade it off tho. I'm too used to the tone of my LP's so if anyone wants this grab fast because it won't last long they are getting very rare in this condition...
  10. nope it's exactly like any other les paul, the "lite" is they used a 3rd type of wood in the back to lighten the weight a bit, if I hadn't told you it was a lite you'd have no way of telling

  12. ya it's one of the first, and it's really not what you'd call weight relieved it's nearly the same as my regular studio
  13. 1991 Studio Lite, guitar screams has the 496R/500T pickups the early 90's studios are about the best Les Pauls ever made..
  14. here's a few more pics reference pics, I think it looks much better with the covers removed from the pickups..
  15. nope he is correct, I specifically looked for one, my shoulders just can't take a 10lb monster 3 nights a week anymore and this fits the bill perfect 7.8lbs and I got a plus with it, the original studio lite's came with a 60's profile neck. they are making a new Custom Lite for those of you wanting a lighter guitar - $2,498 http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Custom-Lite.aspx if you're worried about sound and sustain, here ya go..
