  1. ‘Nuff said. https://www.stewmac.com/Materials_and_Supplies/Accessories/Bar_Stools/Gibson_Logo_Bar_Stool.html
  2. Very cool! More fun than humans should be allowed.
  3. Hey Folks-- Sorry about the ragged recording and performance but it kinda fits the song. It's called "Let's Kill Saturday Night", written by Robbie Fulks. The energy takes over and I always speed this one up. 🙂 I'm playing the '48 J-50/'38 L-00. Just saw Robbie live with Redd Volkaert (Merle Haggard's long time guitarist) with about 40 people in attendance. One of my favorite shows ever. Don't sleep on Robbie. What a songwriter, picker and singer. https://soundcloud.com/nolamericana/lets-kill-saturday-night-written-by-robbie-fulks
  4. Almost seems like it harkens back to the WM-45, but with the Walnut B/S of the J-15, and other changes to keep down costs. I don’t have any problem with it. Hope it sells!
  5. All good points, ap. That stain on the top probably put stars in my eyes. 😉
  6. It obviously was previously owned by someone who was not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Finish sanded down, etc. Given all that it sounds pretty darn good to my ears in the video. If Randy Woods were to state that it doesn’t need a neck reset, then the new asking price of $2495 is not too bad. Get it down near 2K and things could get interesting. It reminds me a bit of my ‘48 Frankenstein J-50, so I guess I have a bit of a soft spot for this one.😀 Not in the market though. It’s in South Carolina, FYI. https://reverb.com/item/20086165-a-true-player-gibson-j-45-1950-natural
  7. It was a lovely celebration of her life.
  8. Yes, my question as well. Where is the OP for clarification?
  9. Good to have a rebel in charge. 🤘
  10. Oh my goodness, Tom. I'm so sorry. I am also glad that you two had so many wonderful years together. Keep reaching out to friends.
  11. My preferred action is 2.00mm/1.75mm (to give you a point of reference in inches, 5/64"=1.9844mm and 4.5/64"=1.78605mm). But that is for 12s, so that may not help much. But I'm betting you could go a little lower than what you have now if you're not a banger strummer.
  12. That sucks. Maybe an Administrator could contact the webmaster?
  13. Trying to upload a photo on my phone without using imgur: Hmm. It worked this time. I guess the image was the right size.
  14. If it sounded good and did not need neck reset, it doesn't seem too bad of a deal. I think that is right round the time the braces were no longer scalloped. That could make a difference to me. I'd have to listen to it.
  15. Well there you go. Something for everyone. 1 1 /2" nut though.
  16. Hmm. Still had to use imgur because my attached image was too large. Still, I do like the new look.
  17. It looks like Bragg is playing a J-45 Standard, but I could be wrong. From their joint project from 2016 featuring Leadbelly songs with RR Themes. Henry is playing a New Era 12 Fretter built by Tony Klassen inspired by the old Bacon and Day guitars. Seeing and hearing this just makes me happy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE9T-ubu45Y
  18. I voted J-45/50 and a 000-18. I feel blessed to own a “Frankenstein” J-50 and a Norman Blake 12 Fret 000-18. If I cheated and added one “other” it would be a Vintage Larson Brothers Euphonon Slope Shoulder with Rosewood B/S.
  19. Keith—I’m guessing you knew about this, but just in case: “So sorry to announce the (Sugarcane Jane) show tonight at The Blue Door in Oklahoma City has been cancelled due to storms, flooding, and power outage. We apologize to any inconvenience this has caused and promise to reschedule the show for a later date this year. We are headed west y’all! Be safe out there!” Hunker down, Buddy!
